I almost didn’t want to post this because Savoey feels like one of those places you want to keep to yourself — but it really deserves the recognition.
With several branches available within Bangkok, I went to the one located in Terminal 21. Savoey has been around for over 50 years, and it’s easy to see why it’s become a go-to for locals. The atmosphere is cozy, with an inviting interior and even a VIP room if you're looking for a more intimate meal.
Now onto the food — everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My personal favorite was the jumbo crabmeat in yellow curry and their braised oyster omelette. The crab was soft and buttery, served in a rich, fragrant curry. It was one of those dishes where you slow down just to savor every bite, while the oyster omelette had all the right combination of textures (crispy, juicy, and chewy)
We also had the steamed seabass with lime and chili, which was perfectly balanced between spicy and really fresh. The tom yum goong was another highlight, featuring big river prawns and just the right amount of heat.
For drinks, I tried the mango sticky rice smoothie, which genuinely surprised me — it’s dessert in a glass, however, I would still prefer having mango sticky rice in its original form as this smoothie might feel a bit too thick to drink. The pandanus kale frappe was also a refreshing contrast, and I would recommend this instead to those who like refreshing drinks.
To end, we had the taro bualoy and the tapioca pannacotta with ice cream — both had really nice textures, with the bualoy being chewy while the pannacotta was really smooth.
The service was friendly, the view from the Terminal 21 branch added to the experience. Overall, I would highly recommend this place for a conveniently reachable Thai...
Read moreThe ambiance is spacious with high ceilings, and we were seated by the window, where the large floor-to-ceiling glass allowed us to enjoy a beautiful sunset—perfect for taking stunning photos. Unsure of what to order, we asked the staff for recommendations. They were very helpful and suggested the signature dishes, which arrived promptly.
Crab Curry Stir-fry Once ordered, the dish was prepared immediately. They even brought out a crab for us to see before cooking—freshness guaranteed! The aroma was enticing upon serving, and the crab meat was abundant, fresh, and firm. The curry had a lovely coconut flavor, rich and sweet, making it an ideal pairing with rice.
Steamed fish with spicy lime sauce The whole sea bass was baked over an open flame, helping to maintain its temperature. The fish was tender and free of any fishy taste, infused with delicious Thai lime juice. It had a perfect balance of sweet and sour flavors, and the bones were minimal.
Grilled River Prawns The prawns were quite large, with flavorful heads that had a hint of crab fat. The texture was firm, but some parts were not as fresh as expected, which was a bit disappointing.
Fried Shrimp Cakes These fried shrimp cakes were outstanding! The crust was thin and crispy, while the inside had a delightful bounce, bursting with shrimp flavor. Paired with Thai sweet and sour sauce, they were absolutely delicious.
Tom Yum Goong with Giant Prawns The broth had a mild spiciness and sourness, filled with various herbs and shrimp. The shrimp were firm, and the Tom Yum flavor was rich and fragrant.

Read moreThere are many branches in Bangkok. If you will go to Termial21 shopping, you can choose this restaurant to be your dinner. When we visit here is 2020/1/1 the day is also Thailand vacation, but the restaurant didn't have many customers, so you can eat without waiting. Although their famous cuisine is Stir-Fried “Curry Crab”, but we had eaten in other restaurant #NaraThaiCuisine that taste is heavy and the portions it's not suitable for 2 people. So we only choose “Pad Thai” Chicken, Quick-fried water mimosa with chili and Hot and sour seafood soup. We never eat water mimosa in Taiwan, so it has a bitter taste not suit for our appetite. The “Pad Thai” is delicious, and the soup looks not spicy but it's. Because of spicy Thai food, I had a stomachache, so I can't eat any spicy Thai food recently. #Savoey is not particularly good for us, so you don't have to come, but you can try it. . Pad Thai...
