Tonight after seeing a movie at Terminal 21 at Asoke and Sukhumvit, my girlfriend and I decided to eat at this mall before moving on. Many times, we had walked by the Have a Zeed restaurant and there always seemed to be a line of people waiting to get in. Since it seemed to be a popular place, we decided to give it a try. We were fortunate (more about this later) because we were seated right away with no wait. Shortly after, they was a line and they were calling numbers for seating.
The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with fairly comfortable furniture. Unfortunately, the tables were crowded together so that we felt like we were eating with people on either side of us. The tables were so close that I had to turn sideways and carefully shuffle between them to sit on the bench seat against the wall (my preferred seat whenever possible). Another illustration of how close we were: when the waiter was taking the order at a table next to us, he stood between my girlfriend and the other table and she had to lean away from him to avoid being pushed.
We were promptly handed menus as soon as we were seated but then ignored for many minutes even after it was obvious that we had stopped scanning the menus and were ready to order. I finally had to summon a waiter to do the job. My girlfriend ordered Panang Gai (a Thai red curry with coconut milk and chicken. I was surprised to see a dish on the menu that I had eaten for the first time at another restaurant. It was Pad Gaprao Muu in a hot stone or ceramic bowl with an egg. Pad Gaprao is my favorite Thai dish and I was eager to compare it to what I had had (and loved) just the night before.
A couple of minutes after placing our order, the waiter returned with the news that they were out of the Panang curry or at least some component of it. She changed her order to Gaeng Kiew Waan Gai (a sweet green curry with chicken). She likes them both about the same so it was only a small disappointment.
About ten minutes later, the waiter brought her curry and her drink. It took another ten minutes to get my drink. About ten minutes after that and they still had not brought my order. Again, I flagged down a waiter and asked him to check my order. It took another five minutes when they finally did bring my order. Obviously someone had forgotten to make it.
My girlfriend said her curry was a 3 out of 5 in taste. My rice bowl was also a 3 out of 5. The similar rice bowl from the previous evening was 5 out of 5. Tonight, I didn't even finish all of it. It was plenty spicy but otherwise lacked flavor. This is saying a lot because Pad Gaprao is typically a very flavorful dish.
Finally, a third time we had to flag down a waiter to ask for the check which took at least five or ten minutes to arrive and only after we again asked someone, a manager this time, for the check.
Yes, the restaurant was busy but they are often busy and should have the staff to handle it. I don't accept being busy as an excuse for bad and inattentive service. If the bill hadn't included a mandatory 10% service charge, I would have not left any gratuity whatsoever.
With mediocre food and terrible service, I will NOT...

Today is our last day in Bangkok and we are here at Terminal 21 shopping mall to grab some goodies back home. But before that we need to fill our tummy for more energy to do the shopping later.
The food court and restaurant are located on the 4th & 5th level of the mall. We took a short tour Beginning from the 5th floor where the food court is located.
It was during lunch hours and the food court was jam packed. We don't wan to get caught within the massive crowd so we move 1 level down to see what other options available for us.
We chanced upon this restaurant that was fully seated and queue forming outside the restaurant. We took a look at the menu and decided to give it a try. We took a queue number and googled the reviews online.
Looks quite legit and we pick a few dishes that we wanted to try. After 10mins of waiting the service staff took our orders and show us our seat.
We order the crab 🦀 fried rice, Tom yum soup, omelette and pork liver for the 2 of us. Everything was cooked on point. We had a satisfying lunch before our flight 🛫.

Tried the crab curry this time and it was very good, had a grilled pork dish and it was also very good. The tomyum shrimp was ok a bit sweet for my taste, had another spicy pork soup which was ok, then a stir-fried liver dish that was pretty decent as I normally don't like liver. Overall the crab curry was my favorite, will definitely come get this again. ...... I always walk by here and there's usually a line so I wanted to try here and finally decided to do it. I ordered 4 dishes. First came the prawns. These were great, cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned. Then came the somtam with egg, it was decent no complaints. After that was the softshell crab curry. This was just ok, a little bit sweet and the crab was kinda mushy. I think I should've just ordered the normal crab curry. Lastly I got the beef dish. This was my least favorite, it tasted weirdly sweet. Overall it was a decent meal, I wished they would've brought out all the dishes at the same time, but price was reasonable and I would definitely come back for the...
