My girlfriend and I had dinner at the Pizza Company at Nana Court which is at the corner of Sukhumvit and Soi 3. We'd been there once before and had enjoyed our meals so we returned, to the great delight of my girlfriend.
I ordered the 10-piece Korean Chicken Wings and an order of fries. My companion ordered what they call Jumbo Pizza Puff but everyone else calls a Calzone. My chicken wings were delicious. Crispy , sweet, and a little spicy. Ten wings were too many; next time I will get the 6-piece or leave out the fries. I had been eager to try Korean style chicken as I had heard how good it was. I was not disappointed. The only downside to these wings is how sticky and messy they are to eat but I knew what I was getting into and was not surprised. It would have been nice to have more than one napkin or, better yet, some wet-wipes.
The Pizza Puff looked good and the bite I had tasted really good.
On our previous visit, we had each had a pizza from their then-current promotion. The pizzas were unusual in that the edge of the crust was wrapped around a series of frankfurter sausages (what we Americans refer to as hot dogs). I was surprised at how tasty it was, both the pizza and toppings but the edge crust with hot dogs. If I could choose, I would prefer Italian sausages instead of the hot dogs but it wasn't bad.
No question, we will return to this restaurant. The service was good, nothing special but nothing to complain about. The restaurant itself was clean and neat and air-conditioned (a must here in Bangkok). As this is in a small shopping mall, I had to leave the restaurant and go up to the next floor to find a restroom to wash the stickiness off my fingers. This is not a complaint, just an...
Read moreMost valuable place for quick bite. A variey of dishes and drinks offers this place. Nice to visit this plase. The designers of the menu have many tricks up their sleeves. There’s a separate science behind it.
For example, they place their most expensive dishes in the middle of the menu as they know we as consumers look at the middle of the menu before we bifurcate towards the two directions of the paper in our hands. Also, they place their slightly cheaper (yet pretty expensive) offering right next to its similar but very expensive cousin so that you end up paying a lot anyway. Restaurants try to keep the ambiance dim and the temperature cool so that the customer feels like eating more and more warm food to feel warmer inside. Even though there’s really one currency throughout a country, it’s easier to spend more if there’s no indication of the value of the number in front of the item you’re about to order. That in turn, makes the restaurant wealthier. These distractions make you feel like you’ve eaten a lot and been there for a much longer time which works very well in the favor of the establishments, ergo, makes you pay more for less amount of food. It’s confusing and boggles your mind, and rightly so. That’s what they want.
They offer you different sizes of portions so that you chose the slightly larger one which you think has more food that the smaller one and end up paying a much larger amount of money than that portion of food, which is hardly any bigger than the...
Read moreThis particular Pizza Company is scamming it's customers all the time and I bet the head office doesn't know about their dodgy operation. If you go here comes before in the afternoon no matter what day of the week I will tell you that I cannot save you a small pizza. Only have thing in here several times on visits to Bangkok and every single time it is the sign and inside like myself we just get up and walk out. They trying to tell you that you have to buy a medium or large pizza which is ridiculous if you were here as a solo person all you want is a small pizza. I have been there and seen other people also ask for small pizzas and be told there no one available after 4 p.m. and people like myself just get up and leave. What ridiculous dodgy operation to try and force people to have to buy a large pizza in the evening or night. This does not happen at any of the other stores in Thailand or in other countries. How many customers are they losing and how much money is the franchise losing because they are turning customers away simply because they refuse to sell a small pizza so customers wanting small large and go to other pizza shops simply because of this dodgy company is trying to force people to buy...
