Was there on a Friday night with a few friends. We expected to enjoy the food peacefully which turned out great with a quality choice of ingredients and cooking. We weren’t informed of some sort of a huge gathering of the tables around/next to us. They were already yelling loudly and going wild right when I arrived at 7.30 pm. Of which I, expected, was too early for the party time. If I were them, I would book a private room instead. It wasn’t just the table having a blast next to us but also the the speaker above our table we were seated making it just like we were dining in a loud club. We couldn’t talk or anything. It was LOUD with an endless clubbing dancing music going on like forever. I and my friend almost got migraine out of the noice and the flashy photo sessions and were deaf for a short moment. It actually wasn’t too loud of music when I arrived so we didn’t ask to change the table. But everything was getting worse. We expected a more calm atmosphere at 8pm to dine before the party later in the late night. We were given the OPA dishes around 8pm to throw without the drawing just like we saw people did in the review. The party and the OPA dish finished even before our main dish has arrived. Everything was going in a very wrong order in every possible way in our expectation. We finished the dish and left quicker than we planned. Didn’t order any dessert even we are sweet-tooth. I know you could do better. First thing, inform or separate people who want to dine peacefully at the booking point and clearly state about the condition. Not everyone will expect a loud/clubbing environment in a fine dining restaurant. and I believe not everyone is willing to move the table around. Exit is the only way with no return. Thank you in advance if you take my comment as a constructive one. I enjoyed...
Read moreWe were a party of four celebrating a friend’s birthday. I wasn’t aware that they smashed plates here (Greek/Jewish tradition). I didn’t mind it but they didn’t clean up the plates until the kitchen closed so you had to walk (when going to the bathroom) and put your feet over broken plates (under the table).
FOOD: we ordered a beetroot salad (280 BHT), crispy seafood basket (490 BHT), sea bass (590 BHT), one pita bread (50 BHT) baklava (300 BHT), yoghurt ice cream (150 BHT) and 3 bottles of water (240 BHT). The total bill was 2100 BHT + 10% service charge and 7% VAT. Quite expensive for a restaurant in BKK and this was not fine dining. It is in fact more expensive than meals we’ve had in Switzerland!
While the sea bass was delicious (2 fillets) and I would recommend it to everyone, the other dishes were no so impressive nor worth their price tag. The crispy seafood basket had too much batter (ratio 3;1) to the seafood. My partner had to remove most of the batter in order to eat his food.
SERVICE: the wait staff was much more attentive than their managers. One manager came to check on our meal. I asked him for another bottle of water and had to wait 20 minutes (whilst he chatted with his colleagues). Nothing came, so I asked a waiter and he immediately fetched us a bottle. For dessert, we ordered baklava and shortly after it arrived, asked for ice cream as well. They forgot about the ice cream and we assumed with would not be charged. Then, when we asked for the bill, the ice cream (15 mins after the order) miraculously arrived just on time! -.- Funny how that worked out. We are happy to pay for good food and service but dishonesty is something that turns us off.
What could’ve been an excellent evening turned out to be much of a disappointment. The food was good but not good enough for...

Aesop’s Greek Restaurant – Bangkok: A Taste of Greece in the Heart of Thailand
When I arrived at Aesop’s, I was personally greeted by John, the owner — a genuinely warm and welcoming man whose passion for Greek hospitality sets the tone for the entire experience. From that first moment, I knew I was in for something special.
Aesop’s in Bangkok is nothing short of spectacular. From the moment you step through the doors, you’re transported straight to Greece — the décor, the ambience, and the warmth of the staff create an unforgettable atmosphere that feels both authentic and vibrant.
The food is simply exceptional. Every dish bursts with bold, traditional Greek flavours, beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The menu offers an impressive variety, and each bite reminds you why Greek cuisine is so loved around the world. I was genuinely blown away by how consistently amazing everything tasted.
The service is first-class — attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. The energy of the restaurant is contagious; laughter fills the air, music plays, and yes — you can even smash plates! It’s the perfect blend of fine dining and pure fun.
I was so impressed that I went twice during my 10-day stay in Bangkok — and both times were flawless. With incredible food, world-class service, and breathtaking views of the city, Aesop’s is an absolute must-visit.
If you’re in Bangkok and want an unforgettable dining experience, don’t miss Aesop’s Greek Restaurant. It’s easily one of the best restaurants in the city — and possibly one of the best Greek...
