I lived on this soi 18 for 10 years and ate here very regularly. After 4-5 recent lousy experiences, I avoid the place. Once p kitchen was very good Thai food, good portions, cheap prices, cash only and mostly local expats and Thais. Now hardly ever see any Thais eating there. Now unfortunately p kitchen has turned into a favorite tourist restaurant after Covid reopening. The restaurant is super crowded every night likely due to past crowd sourced reviews. It’s off Sukhumvit road a bit so online reviews is the likely the reason for extreme popularity.
New Chefs and staff are rotating in and out. Frankly, the dishes are hit and miss now, some pretty awful such as green curry chicken. The service is slow due to the tourist crowd. Portions are much much smaller than before and prices almost doubled up to the Sukhumvit area average rate. Before Covid usually less than 90 baht, now 150 and up. Frankly the Thai food court at terminal 21 is cheaper, tastier and larger portions with less wait. Suda on soi 14 has a smaller menu but tasty food and old prices. Issan nation on Sukhumvit at Soi 18 is close by and much better. It’s a...

My dish was abysmal at best. I ordered the tom yum gai, a side of white rice, tom kha gai, and a large Singha beer. I don't know how they screwed up such a simple dish. For starters, the waiter asked if I wanted spicy. I replied, "Yes, like how Thai people like spice." They brought me the tom kha gai with absolutely no spice level to it. The ginger was so thick and there was so much bamboo shoots in it, it was like I was involved in a chewing game. It was as if the cook(s) didn't even try. This place is geared towards the tourist more than the local. Take a look at my photo and you'll see no Thai people visiting this spot.
I also will not waste my time reviewing the the other dish. I imagine the other reviews are left by tourists and/or friends/family of those involved in this business because they can't possibly be reviewed by anyone that actually enjoys eating authentic Thai cuisine. Whoever cooked this is an absolute disgrace to the...

The Pad Thai and Green Curry Omelette were standout dishes, bursting with authentic flavors that captivated the palate. While the service may have been a tad uneven, the quality of the food more than made up for it, particularly the succulent chicken wing appetizers and snacks.
Though the menu may cater more to foreign tastes, the artisanal execution of each dish is undeniable. The flavors are expertly balanced, with a delightful blend of spices and seasonings that pay homage to Thai culinary traditions. Even the locals would be hard-pressed to find fault with these artfully crafted offerings.
