I am visiting Bangkok for the second time this year. Iām staying just a short walk from this coffee shop. I decided to read and get a break from the heat with an iced coffee drink. I am your black coffee aficionado, in my head. But, this time, I tried a caramel macchiato, definitely outside my lane. I donāt drink things in my coffee because of enjoy the raw natural flavors. But, when traveling I play with it.
Today, it was a good decision. The drink was not just refreshing because of the heat, but it was delicious. In March and April, I was in 6 countries in Asia. In addition to fingir adventure, friends, food, and life changing experiences, I found all the unique coffees and coffee drinks. This one was a great find today.
My only constructive criticism probably is a cultural difference. I like coffee early. But, I wonāt hold that against them that they open at 7:00 AM. This is their country and their city; they represent it well. Good job Artis.
Once I have their black coffee at 7:00 AM today. Iāll let you know. Meanwhile, Iām sipping coffee from the Hoyle restaurant out of an automated machine. I wonāt that. Itās a hotel, not a coffee shop.
Well, the verdict is in. First, they actually roast their own beans, which, Iāll be purchasing to take home. And, the beans are from the Chang Mai area in northern Thailand, where I visited in March. The coffee is perfectly roasted and deliciously robust, so much so that, as I said earlier, I could taste the quality and character even in the macchiato....
Read moreI popped into Artis Coffee just off Sukhumvit Soi 18 during a busy day in Bangkok, and it quickly became one of my favorite chill spots. The café has this simple, modern vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating, perfect for people-watching or catching up on some work.
I tried their pour-over and was really impressedāthe coffee was fresh with bold flavors, thanks to their locally sourced beans. They also have cool signature drinks like the Dirty Coffee that Iām keen to try next time.
Besides coffee, they serve homemade ciabatta sandwiches and pastries that looked really good for a light bite, though I didnāt get to try them on this visit. The atmosphere felt bright and welcoming, and the outdoor seating was especially nice to relax in.
It did get a bit busy during the mid-morning rush, so Iād recommend going early if you want a quieter spot. Payment was easy with card or cash, but I always like to carry some cash just in case.
Overall, if youāre around Asoke and need a good coffee break, Artis is definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLove this cute little coffee shop. Nice chill vibes, the staff are cool and food and the coffee is awesome. Prices are on the Starbucks side but the difference is they mostly use coffee beans that are locally grown! Recommend to try the caramel macchiato - itās honestly one of the best Iāve ever had and their croissant sandwiches are awesome too - personal fave is the ham, egg and Gouda cheese (alternatively chicken also available) but last 2 times when my partner ate this, he got a bad stomachache, so Iām not sure whatās wrong but it definitely ruined the experience. Last thing I like about this place is the music, mix of Korean, English, Japanese current hits.
The only things I might not like so much is location (a bit far from Asoke BTS, so you have to walk in the hot sun as there is not much shade) and some of the customers. Some of them can be so loud and itās so noisy since the coffee shop is small, but I donāt think there is much the owners can do about this. Nonetheless, this is a great place for...
