For foreigners and expats: Pathetic enough experience for me to write my first ever review.
I came with a friend around 8:30 on a Friday. Seating was limited so they sat us at a 4-seat high table. Got a couple drinks each and appetizers. Less than an hour in the manager, who stared awkwardly with his ear piece the entire time, motioned to the waitress and then to our table. She comes to tell us rain is coming and asks us to pay. We have eyes and could see there was no rain coming anytime soon (it rained two hours later). The place had filled up by this point and she walks across the entire restaurant to the other Westerner there on a date and tells him the same thing I assume as he made a confused look.
I would understand if they requested we move to a smaller table as they became available but this excuse was absolutely pathetic. And nonsensical from a business standpoint as we planned to order more drinks.
The bill was about 1600THB and I paid with a card. They bring back the bill folder and I put it down as we were in the middle of a conversation, pretty normal thing to do at a restaurant. Another waiter comes and snatches the folder off the table with my card still inside. Fair enough mistake but he never checked the folder and obviously it was another instance of trying to get us out.
It was annoying enough for me to feel the need to call the manager out on his nonsense. Mission accomplished mate, ...
Read moreBrewski commonly overcharges tourists. The first time I went there I was with friends who kept asking for the bill with each round of drinks. They said you have to do that as the Brewski staff often overcharges foreigners. Right before we left, the table next to us asked for the manager and complained that there were more drinks on their bill than they had ordered and were arguing about it for a while.
Last night we went to Brewski and I thought we would be fine as we were a mixed group of foreigners and Thais. Nope, when the bill came there were 19 beers listed, even though one person had 1 beer, another had 3 and the other two had 5 each. That's 5 more beers than we had ordered. We also argued with the manager who insisted they were correct and that we were lying.
We're never going back there again. If you decide to risk going there and feel ok paying for overpriced drinks to dishonest people, then just make sure you ask for the bill each time. Otherwise, go some other place that is honest and treats foreigners fairly. Brewski is one of the...

Been to a few of bangkok's rooftop bars for drinks and this was of a similar quality to others.
The real big plus about this bar was it was peopled with locals and resident expats and had the feel of a vibrant evening drinking hangout and avoided the "bucket list" feel of more well known Bangkok rooftop bars that through no fault of their own have become well known tourist traps.
There's an extensive range of craft beers, a bit pricey if you compare with a local bottle of Singha or Chang down at street level but it's not outrageously priced or out of step with similar bars in Bangkok.
The food is so so, neither good or bad I remember it as being generously sized and so can keep you going for a night of fun, high up above the Bangkok skyline.
One note at the weekends they don't accept bookings for tables so if there's a large group and you want seats, it might be advisable to get...
