Review Update 2022/02: It seems the restaurant changed the menu which had me initially worried, but I didn't need to be worried. We had an enormous piece of steak that was grilled to perfection by the staff. The polgogi was amazing and I am pretty sure we ordered way too much ... I feel that the side dishes felt "lazier" in terms of the variety but they tasted great!!! They also very quickly refreshed them once we were finishing them. We also for the first time decided to try a dessert; tiramisu. Delicious. My wife isn't that fond of desserts or tiramisu but she said it tasted amazing. It is more chocolate-y and less bitter than original tiramisu (so choose your preference). Still 5 stars and can't wait to go again.
Last Review: We have been here over a year ago and the food was just as good as we remembered it. The staff prepares the meat for you which is a great plus for me because it means there is less work for me and usually these people know better than me how to prepare stuff. Lots of stuff they refill for free and no surprise added on top of it at the end. Portions are big and prices are reasonable to cheap. This is by far my favorite Korean BBQ here in Bangkok. Cannot...
Read moreIn my opinion, Banjoo is the best Korean restaurant in Bangkok. Although it might not be the best in everything, it is overall the best. First, the food is great. They use the same beef as Cocotte, well known for its excellent steak. The owner is trained at Le Cordon Bleu, so she knows how to balance the flavor of the food. Her family has been in restaurant business for long time, and some of the side dishes really show that she cares about serving Korean food the right way. Second, the decor and the cleanliness is the best among the Korean restaurants in Bangkok. While it is not fancy, overall atmosphere is upscale and contemporary. Finally, the service somewhat inconsistent. When the owner is there, she goes out of her make to make sure her customers are treated well. When she is not there, the staff tries hard to do well, but they aren't trained enough or motivated to excel. I think the restaurant has a lot going for it. I didn't love it initially, but the owner's passion to create something unique has won me over. I'm a regular there now.
EDIT: The staff provides much better...
Read more⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐It’s hard to find a Korean restaurant that stands out among the many in the city, but Banjoo is definitely one of the memorable ones. Not only do they offer premium meats that are beautifully marinated, but their kimchi pancake is a must-try. It has a uniquely crispy texture and bold flavor, perfect for snacking, especially when paired with their cheese tteokbokki.
One of the highlights at Banjoo is the service. The staff is attentive and cooks the meats for you, so you can relax and enjoy your time with friends. I also appreciate their commitment to customer satisfaction. On a recent visit, my friends mentioned to the staff that a soup they ordered didn’t taste quite as good as on a previous visit. Without hesitation, the staff took the soup back and prepared a fresh one, ensuring that we had the best possible dining experience. This level of service is rare and truly appreciated.
Overall, Banjoo is a fantastic place to enjoy quality Korean food, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. If you’re in the mood for delicious Korean cuisine, I highly recommend giving...
