The Mani Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Khlong Toei Subdistrict

First visit to have something to eat. Decided on the Australian steak, with black peppercorn sauce. Ordered a Coke. Sat outside to enjoy the evening.

Coke arrived no place mat, every time I took a drink, water dripping all the time.

Steak arrived, really disappointed. Jacket potato covered in cheese, couple of vegetables, and a little dessert bowl with the pepper sauce.

Poured the sauce onto the steak and it was really watery, no thickness to it. Cut into the steak and it was a really cheap cut of meat, pepper sauce was tasteless.

The food was absolutely terrible. Everything we got was cold, not even room temperature, cold to the touch. The steak we ordered was literally raw and cold, we asked for medium. When we showed the waiter she offered to cook it more for us, after it came back it was still raw. The picture below is the steak after it was cooked more. The service was not the best either, the food took a very long time as well as getting the bill. Luckily the Maison hotel resolved the bill afterwards after we told the front desk about it, but if we were not guests I'm not sure what the outcome...

What I liked about this bar is unlike all the other bars on this street, you could sit down, relax, talk without overpowering music blasting. The staff are professional, well groomed and friendly. Its not a bar girl bar. You can sit there, enjoy the meal, and watch the night life go by from the sidelines if you want. This was my go to bar for three nights. Happy hour over several hours gives good value for drinks and the menus good for food. So if you want somewhere quieter to relax and converse but still see the nightlife shenanigans, this is a good...
