Hobs ICONSIAM — Restaurant in Khlong Ton Sai Subdistrict

“Absolutely the place for beer lovers plus superb view of Bangkok and Chao Phraya River!”

It is one of the latest branches of this brand located on the 6th floor on the river side.

The restaurant is placed on the balcony of the building which has no air condition but the open air terrace. There's live band after 7 pm.

This restaurant is famous for variety of local and import beers so understandable that there're not much choices for food (HOBS stands for House of beers) but anyway, the foods we ordered were delicious so no complaints about that.

We went there in the afternoon around 5 pm after trying to call for reservation but no luck since the restaurant only limit advance booking for 6 tables. So we went there and offered table in the central area because the tables by balcony are all occupied. We ordered foods and drinks and within 15-20 minutes when one of the balcony table was available, one of the staff invited us to be seated there.

I found that most staff were very friendly and supportive. However, due to the fact that everyone wants to get a nice photos with Bangkok landscape so this place is always crowded especially dinner time when the temperature is cooling down and when the high-rise buildings are lit up.

So all in all, it is a great place for sipping drinks, enjoy the food along with magnificent view of Bangkok and Chao Phraya River!

The food and drinks are mid-range not cheap but not overpriced.

Tips: if the tables by the balcony are all occupied, ask one of the staff that you'd like to wait to be seated there so when one of them is available, they will come to...

Herible reservation!!

I called restaurant one day in advance to book table at 5 pm on Friday and it was the second row by river front seats the reservation said I can not be later than 5 min otherwise she will release the table to other walk in guess.

I call reservation and told her I was on the way to Icon siam and the traffic was awful and asking her if she can hold my table at least 10 min due to the traffic and I have not seen my friend for many years so this table here it is important. I have already try to be there on time but this is Bankgok traffic on Friday!!

and at least restaurant should hold table minimum 10 to 15 min because I traveled very far and I booked this table to meet up with my friend from oversea.. I was at Icon Siam at 5.05 pm and called her I'm going up there soon because the restaurant located at 6 floor reservation to inform the lady again..

she said she can't hold the table it was super reduculous how she treat customer this way business wise it was not smart at all to be stupidly strick with not more than 5 min 6 late when customer show strong attention to eat there and keep informed how much late it can be..

at least I booked dinner at five star hotel restaurant by the river like Mandarin Oriental or Pennisular Hotel or fine dinning restaurant minimum 15 min they can hold the table..

when I was there were not many walk in guess at all it looked so empty compare to the resurant next to them..I decided to canceled my booking at hob and go to the other restaurants next to them instead. The service are much better at same spot and same...
