Chaweng Beach — Restaurant in Ko Samui

One of the best beaches in Thailand, Chaweng beach is a 3 km stretch of soft sand with big waves at one end while the other end is sheltered by coral reef allowing safe relaxed bathing. From one end to the other there is a plethora of resorts from budget to 5 star that accommodate all tastes. About half way along the beach you can combine lazing and gazing towards the small offshore island in the beauiful emerald sea while watching the planes come in to land, seemingly skimming the tops of the palm trees that you're sitting in...

Could be one of the nicest beaches in all of Thailand, unfortunately its a lot of trash on the beach. Bottles, plastic bags and other (mainly) plastic trash. If all of the hotels along the beach got together and hired someone to clean it regularly this could be fixed within a week for a very reasonable price. Time will tell if they do so before it becomes a unfixable problem and scares away...
