Wont recommend and it was very disappointing experience. Came for dinner earlier on 20 May and thought that a hotel restaurant will be good, bt everything was bad from the service to the food. When we came in, we we straight away shown in to a table nearest to the entrance. When our orders were taken, we specifically asked if the fish dish will be served as a whole fish and chose the marble goby. We were told that it will be about 800g and will be served whole. Ordered a vege, roast platter combi and a rice too.
However when the dishes came, the fish came seemingly incomplete as there was no centre spine bone and the fish seemed to have been taken apart. We asked the server, and the servers couldnt understand us.they asked their so called manager to try to explain to us, and she told us that the fish that we chose will be displayed as such - without the display of the whole fish as it was big and had to be cut apart. Unlike the other fish choices such as garoupa and sea bass. This was not told to us prior to us choosing, and made us so uncomfortable as it look as though the dish was eaten by someone else and served to us. We tried to explain our concern, but the manager just continued to explain the same thing to us. We were so frustrated and had no choice but to just eat the dish. So frustrating and unpleasant dinner it was. Not forgetting my company and I both had diarrhoea after this dinner.
So Please be beware before u choose to dine...
Read moreThe lunch at the Mulberry Chinese Cuisine was extraordinary in more ways than one. The menu consisted of Chinese food staples like barbecued pork, Peking Duck and assorted dim sums but done consistently well. The flavors were balanced in a mild and satisfying way. Here is a place where the cooking is tempered but not restrictive, where every plate has moderate, pleasant tastes that just agree with a long, casual meal. And the presentation is just beautiful without going over the top. Each dish was delicately plated with a color cohesiveness that was like eating a palette of a Renaissance painter. The service was charming, with constant smiles and efficiency in equal measure. A major surprise for me was the peaceful ambience that the restaurant emitted. At its entrance you see the dragons wrapped around red poles and you immediately think of one of those noisy, busy Chinatown eateries in big cities. Walking inside was an unexpectedly large space with a few customers sitting quietly enjoying their foods. The Mulberry is designed, I suppose, to allow guests to escape from the always bustling hotel to this haven and temple of accessible but refined Chinese fare, and that is as precious as any shark fin soup. I now know of this well-kept secret right smack downtown that aces Chinese food in serene surroundings, kind of like savoring steamed dumplings at a...
Read moreIf you looking for the modest service, this place cannot offer any. We made a reservation for 15 people at lunch time today with fortnight advance booking, appreciated that they put us in the private room. However, the most disappointed experience is the service.
Moreover, the food always came out late and some not even shown up not sure if this is a normal procedure or business strategy to reduce production cost :) even with the water I had to requests over requests to get the damn water as the food seems to be contained with msg causing cough continuously. Guess what they never came, just keep noding their faces responding...
What really surprise us was the respond from one of the waitress when my sister shocked from the sound she requested to serve us the food with aggresively sound. SHE CLAIMED HERSELF THAT IT IS HER NORMAL SOUND. Well good luck with that, no one will understand your approach strategy young lady you really need to improve on this.
Not seeing any reasons of re-visiting this place soon especially with how they rush us to finish the meal even we were told on the phone that there is no...
