AYAR House Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Lumphini Subdistrict

Just off the busy main road on a quiet side street you find this wonderful place which has live music above. But downstairs is a clean simple restaurant which serves some of the best food in Bangkok.

We spent a lot of time sampling street food and visiting markets. But I wish we'd found this place earlier. We went for our last two nights evening meals. The food and drink was fantastic and so cheap.

But be careful of the soup, the Tom Yum soup was fantastic but had lots of chilli so some may struggle. I can also recommend the Pad Thai, Fried Pork Belly & Sun Dried Fried Beef, all delicious.

It's a bit hard to find cos it's at a lower level from the street and then around an alley, but not too bad.

The place has a lot of seating and is open-air, with some seating more within the restaurant, and some along the side kind of like an outdoor patio.

The service was good, and had the chicken pad thai here. I found the chicken pad thai to be too sweet. It was kind of like having a dessert. Not sure how their other food is.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was full of flavor, fresh, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality in every bite.

What made the night even more special was the live band — they created such a warm, fun atmosphere with their music. Great song choices, lovely energy, and very professional. It was the perfect mix of great food and great vibes.
