I recently dined at Kailash Parbat with a group of 9 people, and I must say it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at an Indian restaurant.
As vegetarians, our options were already limited, and we hoped for a pleasant meal. Unfortunately, the service was abysmal. After placing our order, it felt like we were completely ignored. Despite being a large group, the staff was unresponsive and seemed uninterested in providing even the basic necessities.
We had to repeatedly ask for water, and even then, we were given only four glasses for the entire table. This lack of attention continued throughout our visit. We waited over an hour and a half for our food, which was not only delayed but also disappointing in quality. The bread and roti were particularly terrible.
To add insult to injury, they charged a 10% service fee despite the poor service we received. If they are unable to accommodate larger groups or provide adequate service, they should inform customers beforehand.
Honestly, I would give them zero stars if I could, but I have to give at least one. They don’t even deserve that. The pricing is very high compared to the quality, and it’s clear they have a long way to go in terms of improvement.
I genuinely hope Kailash Parbat can understand how to manage larger groups and provide better service. It was the worst experience, and I hope this review helps them recognize the need...
Read moreStopped by for lunch and first thing I noticed was there was ample staff in the restaurant albeit no customers at the time. Was greeted and seated immediately with my order placed quickly as well. I ordered the Shahi Paneer with a butter naan as it was just me dining and I believe Shahi Paneer sets the standard of how well an Indian restaurant can cook. Place felt really clean and smelled nice as well. The played some classic Bollywood songs which set a nice ambiance while dining. The menu itself is pretty extensive and covers a variety of cuisines. Came with a side of chutney, onions, carrots, lime and green chili’s which was a nice touch. Flavors were excellent and it was clearly evident that the food was prepared fresh to order. The butter naan was great, thin and crispy, just the way it should be. For dessert I got 2 pcs of gulab jamun which were unfortunately cold in the center and lacked the full body of flavor I expected. Aside from that I would highly recommend you check this place out if you are staying near Patong Beach and are craving some delicious, authentic Indian food....
Read moreKailash Parbat in Phuket is a delightful gem for vegetarians seeking an authentic culinary experience. From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the warm ambiance and friendly staff. The restaurant’s commitment to serving pure vegetarian dishes is commendable.
The menu boasts a diverse array of vegetarian delights from various Indian cuisines. Each dish is carefully prepared with fresh ingredients and bursts with flavors that make you crave for more. The restaurant’s signature chaats and dosas are a must-try, delivering a taste that transports you straight to the streets of India.
The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are reasonable, making it an excellent value for money. I highly recommend trying their thali, which offers a well-rounded assortment of dishes.
Moreover, the service is exceptional, with staff members being attentive and helpful in suggesting dishes based on individual preferences. Whether you’re a vegetarian or just appreciate flavorful vegetarian cuisine, Kailash Parbat is a haven that will leave...
