Bricks and Barrels Pattaya — Restaurant in Pattaya City

Ok, here’s my personal experience at Bricks and Barrels which happened tonight for Valentine’s Day so it’s very fresh in my memory, so arrival at 20h20, greeted well and assigned a nice table, the place looks nice and trendy, we ordered drinks which arrived promptly and we ordered our food then. 20 minutes later the waiter comes back and says something went wrong with the computer system and needs to verify our order again (there will be a delay) waiter very apologetic, So it’s 20h45 at that moment, our appetizer, the Smoke Salmon salad arrived at 21h20, I had to ask the waiter where was our food 5 minutes prior… My Filet Mignon “rare” finally arrived 5 minutes later which is OK. Waiting for my g/f meal to arrive before I start eating… well her plate NEVER came… 21h45 I ask the waiter what is the problem with my g/f plate? Again very apologetic and after talking with my g/f in Thai, she gave him 20 minutes or else we cancel her dish… 15 minutes later so I started eating… then we called who I believe is the owner and explained the timeline of our time at the restaurant and according to my lady, he didn’t seem to care and she told him to cancel her order and we had enough… BTW, when my plate arrived, I ordered another beer which never came and had to signal to him where’s my beer and also all the while I was waiting for it, he was half-busy and I could see him just walking around between a service.

So that’s MY experience at that place, which I don’t want to mention the name again, and please don’t forget that it’s Valentine’s day and my g/f NEVER ate her meal besides sharing a Salmon Salad with me! And during all that time waiting, more than 3 tables that we saw arriving in our area, can’t see the whole restaurant, had time to drink, eat, pay and leave…

All in all, they gave us a 20% discount which only applies on the food BTW, of course they didn’t charge the plate that never came, I sill had to pay 2902 baht for a BEAUTIFUL...

Nice and clean Lovely reception Staff is extremely nice, helpful and attentive Loft design for lovers of simplicity Toilet is on second floor, which can be a problem for elderly, pregnant or people with special needs Prices are high, it's not something you could have every day Brilliant cover band, they made a decent attempt at Bohemian rhapsody, while I was there Saturday night. None is probably came even close in this genre around the town However, while they play it's impossible to have a conversation, too loud. If you are planning to talk, better choose second floor or the terrace Panoramic windows open a wonderful view on Pattaya bay, so it's also nice spot for an afternoon cocktail Food was great, every bit of it Well worth a visit, and I will...

I give it 5 stars, the new place in town, nice atmosphere, nice place, great cocktails very creative presentation, food also good, need some adjustments on the seasoning, Spaghetti Tom Yum was very sweet, beef Satay missing salt, but flavor very nice. The only thing what upset me is the manager or supervisor (wearing a black shirt) who came out side only ones, just started to shout at the staff and waved his hands around like a maniac, so you could see all the staff was embarrassed, and guest could hear it. Very unprofessional. Will still go back, as the staffs were very attentive...
