12/22/24(one star removed) Too many MOSQUITO’s inside the restaurant . I came out with 5 bites.

New selection of wine by the glass Favorite was Cabernet Sauvignon.

2 x glasses of Rare Vinyard Bolognese pappadelle pasta: very savory and on point, but the portion was small 😱 Still hungry and ordered a burger 😛 Quality was perfectly cooked to a Medium temp. Every bite was juicy. This time the Fries were crispy

Another satisfying dinner

Great for Wine lovers and meat eaters Nice staff 8:00 pm on a Friday night was extremely busy. I was seated immediately. Some reviews stated the service was slow, but I experienced the opposite. My orders were prompt (less than 10 minute)and the staff were very responsive. There were about 12 or more Wine by the glass to chose from. Some very low to med caliber.

Drinks and food review:

Chateau peyredon Lagravette Haut-Medoc rouge: My favorite 👍👍👍 More fuller bodied than the “Rare Vineyard”. Woody and cherry notes.

Rare Vineyards Cabernet Syrah: med bodied, slightly oaky with a hint of spice. Good for the price.

Cheese burger: definitely one of the highly rated burgers(Australian beef) I’ve had in Thailand. You can taste the quality in the ingredients , from the meat , cheese and bread. Every bite was a juicy delight.

Cons: French fries . It needed to be more crispy (another double fry)👍👍👍

Great place to people watch, relax and enjoy the ocean view.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I’m generally very fair when it comes to reviews. I was unable to eat at the Wine Connection. This restaurant came highly recommended by a friend of mine that has lived in Thailand for 20 years. Upon coming up to the kiosk, looking at the menu, I was not greeted by anybody. I was completely ignored.

Once I walked into the building and stood there for about five minutes again, completely ignored multiple waiters and waitresses and management staff, as well as cooks, had walked by me. I literally felt invisible.

I then said can I sit down somewhere to somebody that was walking by and they said yeah you can sit anywhere. So I sat down near where all the other people were eating, so I was not in some shady corner.

I waited over 20 minutes while looking at the menu. I even had enough time to count all my money and organize my bills hoping that somebody would come by and take my order.

It’s a shame because I really did want to order a good filet mignon tenderloin steak, and the cheeseboard which looks really good.

I could understand if there was only one person working there however there was more than eight workers walking around and talking and looking at their phone and doing miscellaneous things. When I walked out and I said the service here is awful. The lady said oh come on I can help you get seated now. I told her that I didn’t care and I wasn’t going to eat there.

I was impressed by the menu boasting high quality food showing photos of what seemed to be super quality smoked salmon and meat. I ordered 2 dishes and was totally surpriced to recieve salmon similar to supermarket plasticwrapped smaller cuts. When the meat came on the bruschetta it looked thin, dull and grey and had no resemblance at all to the menu. I asked: “What is this? I have ordered other and showed the photo” Staff was super kind and took my complaint to the kitchen, who offered to make new. But still no resemblance to the photo. I dine out a lot and this was utterly disappointing. The menu describes different types of wine that can be oredered by the glass. So I asked for one of the best, but was told that they could only offer the house wine by the glass. There were many customers, so I thought strange, but ordered the house wine thinking that a place like this would serve an ok wine as a house wine. It was sweet like marmelade and not a pleasure. I am sorry to be so negative, and normally I will not share a bad review. But this has brewed for a while. I was there about a month ago. The staff was offering a perfect service. The location is super. The selection of bottled wine is impressive. So my suggestion is to scrap the photo menu and just have a written menu to avoid...
