AMAZING!!! This place got only one table as they named their restaurant. It was a bit difficult seeking and finding out where it is located even we asked the tuk tuk driver who seemed tried all his effort to make us the way there but it tottally worthed our patience.

Tucked in an small alley where you can watch the local market runs in the morning. We doubted at first because the alley is too small, not even have space to make a Michelin business here as soon as we stopped, there was a market food stall looking just alike others, placed on the stall was dumpling, sort-of soup, 2-3 staff wrapping the food for take away. We started to think that we might end up bringing alot of bag home and looking for another place which offers seat to dine in.

In that hard time, my phone rang (as said the tuk tuk driver must have asked the owner where the place is and he used my phone), an old man in my sight talking Chinese or maybe Thai in the phone which I could not understand a word so then I waved my hand at him to give him a sign that we were in a close distance. He greeted us by Thai/Chinese and brought us inside the house.

It was absolutely and honestly a small house where I saw a lot on the street, he kept walking us in, we felt so thrilled that we were really on a food adventure and finnally opened the last door for us. There was 1 rounded big table which covers 8-10 stool chairs at capacity, we did not find anyone had been dining in with us, she - a woman aka our private staff because she would have sat there with us and observed every moments of us (LOL) that was really a cool experience.

We ordered Shrimp Dumpling, that sort-of soup (sorry I could not remember the name), Ancient Fried Rice, a dish of many yellow herbal balls that stirred with Fried Green Onion on top. All were super yummy, Iced Tea, Water and Coke was refilled 3 times as I counted since I was still aware of how many glasses were refilled and be added straight to the bill which is a sad thing but it was not, we only were charged for 1 glass.

There was hanging 3 newspaper and document on their wall to tell a great story about this place, was absolutely amazing!!!

Thank you for giving us such a...

If you get a reservation, expect to pay 50$/1700 baht per person.

The food is 6/5 stars. Incredible array of dishes that are made based on what was bought at the market that morning. No menu, just sit down and get served 8 courses of some of the most traditional and delicious Chinese foods you can find in Bangkok.

While it was really enjoyable not having a menu, it also came as a surprise to find the bill (for two people) was 100$ at the very end. It may not be considered overpriced for such delicious and unique dishes, but it still was more exoensive than expected, and not communicated up front. If you opt out of the baseball sized steamed crab claws you'll save 45$, but what fun is that. I'll take away a star from the 6/5 the food earned and arrive at 5/5.

The alleys and puddles you have to walk through to get there, the bare wall room with with 1 table, the cobwebs in the corners, all these add to the mystique that make this one of the coolest food finds I've encountered. Expect to pay for the quality you encounter and you won't be dissapointed. Bourdain would...

Breakfast till evening - Excellent shrimp dumplings and fish maw stew with variety of toppings.

Dinner - Reservation is a must. Inform them when and how many people. Fixed set of dishes depending on number of people and what fresh seafood was available. Our set for 4 persons consisted of shrimp dumplings, fried cod, fried jumbo river prawns in spicy sauce; kailan with mushrooms and razor clams, steam crab deshelled; crab claws in ginger, onion sauce, grouper soup and dessert of fried taro coated with sugar and sesame and scallions.

Except for fish soup, which was lackluster, the rest of the dishes were excellent.

Just 2 tables in the dining room, and they only do 1 seating/meal for lunch or dinner. Price wise might be on the high side given the location.

Service was friendly and attentive despite language barriers. The dining hall and washroom were clean and well maintained even though the restaurant was located in a grungier...

Hidden in a dark alley on a Monday night, we visited this well-deserved Michelin star restaurant. Arriving at 8 pm, the owner and his family were washing the dining area floors. We were invited to their kitchen table, next to the kitchen to order. The menu is not translated and Google translate didn't work well. A friend was called to help translate. I shared my shellfish allergy and ordered the smoked duck appetizer and snow fish (a signature dish). The duck was lovely and smokey. The fish was fresh and so moist. A friend highly recommends the shrimp dumplings and fried crab rice. Both were delicious. We tried the signature dessert of fried taro with a sesame coating. It was a bite of heaven. We were too full so we ended up taking the dessert home. If I could give it ten stars, I would. It's a true family owned and operated business. I highly recommend it.

Hidden in a dark-alley, this restaurant was once a Michelin-rated restaurant. Since there are limited tables, prior reservation is required. The dinner appears to be a package set with a generous serving of dishes, 11 dishes. The food is too much for our group of 6, rather suitable for groups of 10 or more. The steamed side pork prawn dumpling is a must-try dish; juicy and well-seasoned. The preserved vegetables and ginkgo are the two starters that should not be missed. The crabs are fresh (presumably the crab roe dish is part of this dish as well) and delicious but overpriced. If given a choice, I would rather give the abalone a miss. The sweet savoury fried yam coated with sesame seeds is one of my favourites too. The fried rice pairing with longevity buns appears to be a mismatch. If not for the pricey bill, this restaurant would have gotten a 5 star.
