Sweet little haven with an English speaking server. I started with a mango smoothie followed by roasted veggies, Tom kha kai and Khao Phat Gai... ( I was eating lunch at 4pm..) followed by another chocolate banana and peanut butter smoothie and nuttella pancakes. Service is good.. menu slightly pricy.. but the free WiFi helps if you're not on a local mobile network.. All went great..and then came the disappointment. The Nutella pancakes looked nothing like their picture in the menu.. scrumptious light and golden brown with luscious lashings of Nutella... instead arrived a plate dusted with icing sugar a small jug with a table spoon of maple syrup.. and 3 stodgy flat dough soles that perhaps did not even have a teaspoon's worth of Nutella scraped over the entire 3 flapjacks together. All other portions during the main meal were a substantial serving.. the Thai food tastes authentic (albeit perhaps adjusted for a westerners taste) . The flapjacks .. pancakes.. at the end did not rise to the occasion. In fact.. sadly they didn't rise at all.
Other clientele that joined while I spent my time there.. ordered pasta and bagels.. and this appeared to have been met with approval.
Music is good. Atmosphere is cosy and intimate.. geared for the social media crowd.
The menu.. extensive.. and clearly coffee-house culture.
Everything...
Read moreUnfriendly staff, I was there trying to buy a take away coffee at the early morning, only 1 customer sitting there at the whole time when I arrived, not even busy yet. I walked to the cashier counter trying to order a ice americano for to go, the barista staff tells me to sit down first, I’ve trying to explain to her my order is going to take away not for dine-in. And then she kept tells me to sit down, she tone are more like to commanding with some of attitude that I don’t really appreciate. Then I took a seat, another staff walked up with menu, I have to repeat my order again just for a single coffee. During my waiting, I’ve heard the rude barista remind other floor staff of my order is for take out. Oh com on, she’s totally understand what I want, but she just refuses to serve me at first place. I don’t understand why I have to get a seat first for a take away order? If that’s their coffee shop rules for everyone, they should put a sign at the door or cashier to let...
Read moreI was very eager to come here, seeing the advertisements all over town and on Social Media. But, after I got here, it seemed very normal - the decorations are just Tent like, so I was a bit disappointed....not so much with the establishment, rather than myself for thinking something “spectacular”.
But, I didn’t want to be rude, and I ordered more than just a coffee - I got the Pancake w/Maple Syrup. As a person who doesn’t love sweets too much, I was truly shocked and delighted with how amazing these pancakes tasted! They’re sooo fluffy and perfectly made! That’s very rare to say in Thailand.
I was instantly amazed again with high hopes and can say, it is a spectacular place. I tried more items on the menu and truly say that it is a wonderful little nook of a cafe in the mist of Phuket Town.
The staff were also very kind and caring.
