Loving this toast place in Yaowarat. Although not in the main road, but it is easily walkable to reach. They’ve been around for decades and are still a favourite among locals. Tried out their best seller toast with kaya (egg custard) and toast with margarine and butter. It was so goooodddd and somehow reminded me of kopitiam in Ipoh & Singapore. Also got the Cha Ron (hot tea with milk). Perfect combination!! For those 3 items, it costs 70 THB. And it’s so filling. The decor of the place is still in its original state. Wooden tables & chairs with indoor and outdoor seating. Love it!

It's hard to imagine they have been around for more than 80 years serving up essentially the same menu. The interior is not well-lit and many old photos hung on the wall. It's certainty worth a visit if you are interested in the historical aspect of Bangkok. Do get here early as the old uncles like to take up an entire table by themselves. The menu is quite simple: toasts with various sugary spreads (also have kaya toasts) and brewed coffee. To be honest, both the breeds and coffee with milk was a bit too sweet for my liking but I came here for the atmosphere.

***Unapologetically old school*** The first of the area for this style of school as described by the owner sitting in the front. He speaks Mandarin and will chat you up if he finds out that you speak the language. This food like the owner and the ambiance as a whole is undecorated. Toast with dipping sauce. Coffee. Soft boiled eggs. Just a few things on the menu but it is well done. The Thai custard dipping sauce wasn’t too sweet and they give a generous serving size. Visit: 1

You cant go more local than this! I love having breakfast here, Its a well kept secret for locals around the yaowarat area, their steamed bread with thai custard and iced coffee is a must have! And listening to seniors bicker and gossip in the morning adds to the local atmosphere 😂 its a great place to hang out in the morning. Order those drinks local style, in a mini plastic bag with straw served in a mini bucket! I love this place, its so memorable!

The grandpa that makes your order doesnt speak a lick of english though, but that adds to their charm because you can order anything and it...
