I was very excited to try this place at first but when I got there I had a very unpleasant experience with the staff. I first ordered an appetizer and since I was waiting for a friend to come by a little later I waited to order the main course. After ordering the Kow Soy for the main course 30 minutes later I noticed that the cook made a grimace to the owner/waiter and then brought out a tiny plate of rice and put it on the table in front of me. The owner - a man - with yellow rotting teeth going in different directions, he also did not look Thai, but Chinese -approached me and with a sly smile and said something that this is actually the Kow Soy that I have in front of me. Explaining that Kow Soy the way I pronounced eat means plate of rice. He then proceeded to explain that when I asked for Kow Soy I did not pronounce the tone of Kow Soy exactly. So as a result he proceeded to explain to me that the little plate of rice in front of me is my Kow Soy. Now I don’t know much about Thai language but I have ordered Kow Soy many times before and the name of this place and what it is famous for is Kow Soy not Little White Rice Plate. Now having said that if the cook was not able to produce a Kow Soy at that time, a simple explanation that its no longer available would have sufficed and I would have paid for the appetizer and went on to find another place. Instead I got a nasty lying treatment while waiting for a long time and hungry. The other customers - a group of visiting Chinese - I spoke to them and found out they were on a business trip from China - as well as Thai customers were getting dishes constantly throughout this time. And as a background to anyone who thinks I must have behaved poorly or offended anyone prior. - I must say that I smiled and greeted the waiter when I entered and made my orders politely. In fact this treatment came to me as completely unexpected. So I have no choice but to conclude that the owners this establishment is a nasty liar of a man who dislikes white people and has no spirit of hospitality. Go at...

This is one of my most favourite Northeastern Thai Cuisine. The taste is very genuine and rich in flavour.
I like most of the dishes here as they're delicious and not too spicy. Actually, all the food here has mild flavour.
Be warned that the restaurant is quite small and has only 2 floors so if you come at lunch time you would have to write your name and the number of people on the waiting list hanging in front of the entrance. The wait time during lunch time is around 10-15 minutes during work week but during weekend is more relaxing.
The restaurant is located in Silom soi 3 just next to the Bangkok Bank head office. The price is not expensive, only around 40 baht per dish but the portion is quite small so you would need to order 2-3 dishes to satisfy your hunger. I recommend trying a few different menu as they're distinctively...
Read moreThe food is very delicious, little portion might be issues from some people, but it's a bless for us. We can just order lots of menu and exchange food with each other. They are not expensive and taste is considered as legendary. You can't be wrong with any of the menu they offer. Each has their own characters though. The Yellow Broth has a tasty-salty taste The Orange Broth has a nutty-tasty taste The Brown Broth has a tasty-fresh-mild-plain taste. Sorry, as a foreigner I can't remember all the names. As far as I know, all is...
