Not bad but not good. Also, very expensive for what it was, with no alcohol. We started with an icy cold coconut water, very refreshing. The signature minced pork came with lettuce and vegetables so you could make a little wrap. I’m all for spice but it really blew ours heads off. But this was one of my favourite dishes. The pork belly was fairly boring despite looking very appetising. The shrimp with stink beans and shrimp paste had a unique taste which I enjoyed but wouldn’t order again. The curry with ribeye, the beef was so dry and tough it wasn’t enjoyable even though the sauce was very tasty. The two dishes I enjoyed the most were the pad Thai, very sweet and the gourami fish, couldn’t really taste the flavours of the fish but with the fragrant rice, it was pleasant. A fairly average meal and...

Khua Kling Pad Sod is a must-visit for anyone who loves bold, spicy southern Thai cuisine. The star of the menu is the khua kling — a dry curry pork dish bursting with chili, herbs, and rich aromas. It’s intense, but pairing it with a glass of sato (local rice wine) smooths out the heat beautifully.

Other standout dishes include sataw pad kapi goong (stink beans with prawns), gaeng leung (yellow curry with fish and coconut shoots), and moo hong (braised pork). The flavors are vibrant and authentic, though the portions lean on the smaller side.

The restaurant itself is simple and cozy, with friendly, attentive staff. It’s not about luxury here — it’s about real, powerful flavors that stay with you long after the meal. If you love spice and want to explore true southern Thai food, this spot...

The food is nice and the taste is consistent across all branches. I ordered yellow curry crab meat, steamed fish balls, yellow curry fish with coconut shoots, stinky beans (sa-tor) with prawns, fried cowslip creeper flowers (dok khajorn) with egg, fried malindjo leaves (phak leang) with egg, two bowls of rice, and 1 rice noodle (khanom chin). Luckily, I hadn’t eaten lunch, as these dishes were not meant for 2 people 😃😃😃! These are Southern Thai style dishes, which are spicy and flavorful. My Thai Chinese friend said, "It's easy to go in but suffer when it comes out." Lucky me, I'm an "alien" who can handle spicy food. 😘😘😘 For those who can't handle spicy food, you may want to consider other dishes. I give them...

Yummy food. I would not recommend it as a must see in bangkok, but it’s great if you’re getting in late, it’s near your hotel, and you just want a really nice casual meal. The owner/manager was lovely. Definitely caters to western audiences, nothing was too spicy but flavors were authentic. Located upstairs at the budget hotel here. Take the little elevator to go up. Clean, cold water, cold beer. Nice staff. For me, I do wish I picked a different location instead of coming here, I’m not in bangkok for long so I wish I had a little more of an impactful meal. BUT that was obviously the choice I made and we enjoyed our food.
