AkaAza — Restaurant in Si Phraya Subdistrict

It had been a while since our last rooftop outing, so my wife and I decided to head back to AkaAza—a place we’ve visited before and always appreciated for its stunning view of the Mahanakhon Tower. The pool area was quite busy, but luckily there's a smaller terrace with the same iconic view—probably meant for smokers, but no one lit up while we were there, so it worked out perfectly for us. We ordered draft beer, though out of the four options on the menu, only one was actually available. Bit of a letdown, but we went with two pints of the one they had. We also shared some fried calamari, which came with two dipping sauces—tartar and another one. I was all about the tartar; my wife preferred the other. The food is on the pricey side, but to be fair, we mainly came for the view and to snap a few photos. If you don’t mind a bit of noise and people strolling around in swimwear, it’s a nice spot to relax with a drink or two. Maybe give the food a go and let me know what you think—I’d love to read...

Very amazing view!! But The opening time is a lie. The Bar is closing @ 11pm not 1 AM!! The Pool is closing @ 8 PM!! Why so extreme early?? :((( We didnt know that before booking amara hotel. The drinks & food is absolutely overpriced. The waitress is friendly but we have to wait a long time to get service. They try to save alcohol, there is absolutely not enough in the drinks and a lots of drinks taste very sour. It seems like the bar is now accessible for the public, because it was a bit crowded the last days. We stay here 3 more nights, pls change my mind!! If not, we dont come...

A huge disappointment. Seems like paid for the view only. Had to wait for almost 45 minutes after order - even drinks were not served as well until food arrived.

All food served cold. One piece of fish was rotten. Fresh oysters are not very fresh.

Felt like the restaurant doesn't have any seriousness running it properly. Menu was good to chose from but if this quality continues - don't know how long they will survive.
