Rocco Bar 1976 — Restaurant in Talat Yot Subdistrict

During the afternoon (maybe evening nor sure) they have the kitchen and eating area onto the street. Stopped by to grab take-away. There were not a lot of option open around 1pm available for street food. The staff were very friendly and patient while we decided what we wanted. We had the Pad Thai, Fried Chicken, and Spring Rolls all for 200 bhat. The food tasted good, the portions were smaller than what we have had along Khao Son road. We did like that you can see the food as it was being prepared - everything was very clean and hygienic. That made us feel very comfortable. It looked as if they stay pretty busy which is a good thing. We enjoyed this option...

A poor experience early this year February in the evening, there were several staff ignoring me, eventually got a beer, then when I wanted to pay for it was ignored again, the staff seemed more interested hanging around one particular customer who had a lot to drink and seemed good fun for them, I got the attention of someone and asked him for the bill, thought he was going to take my money but ages later had ignored me it seems, eventually left the place after paying, was 100 BAHT for small bottle Chang, seemed high I thought, will not return, lots of other great bars in the area. Staff seemed inefficient and rather rude....

I like the vibe of this place. The music isn’t so crazy loud that you can’t talk to friends, the drinks are reasonably priced. My main issue is how disgusting the woman’s toilet is. And there is no toilet paper, napkins, paper towel in the building. I know it’s not common in Thailand for those to be in the toilet but when I went downstairs and asked the people who worked there for anything to get the toilet cleaned to use- they said nothing. I didn’t even want to try and squat over the seat. It was grim. Hard to drink heavily at a bar where...
