I’ve been living in Asia for nearly 10 months now. In every country I visited, I stayed in different hotels some better, some worse and experienced all kinds of things. But for the first time, I feel the need to leave a review, because if you’re reading this, I want you to have a clear idea.1. The hotel is located right on Khaosan Road, which means you’re just steps away from all the bars and nightlife. 2. The cleaning staff is incredibly kind and hardworking. I truly appreciated them.Would I stay here again if I come back?Absolutely not. And here’s why: 1. The loud music from the street continues until 6 AM every single day. The rooms are made of old wood, so they literally shake from the bass. 2. There is a window, but it faces a wall of the neighboring building, making the room dark even during the day. Since you can’t sleep at night due to the noise, you’ll likely want to sleep in — but the room still feels like night even at noon. 3. The room looks bigger in the photos, but in reality, even the sink doesn’t fit in the bathroom — it’s placed right next to the bed. 4. There is no space for a suitcase or a large bag — only enough for a backpack. There isn’t even space for a chair or a stool. Three sides of the bed are pushed against the walls, and the only free space is a 30 cm gap on one side. 5. I’ve stayed in both very luxurious and extremely basic places across Asia, but the reception here was by far the most unhelpful, negative, and cold I’ve encountered. Their attitude is completely the opposite of the usual warm and hospitable nature of Asian culture. They act like they’re forced to deal with you. • For example, I asked for clean sheets at 16:04, but was told the change time ended at 16:00, so they refused. • The room was so small that when I accidentally spilled beer from the bedside table, I had no choice but to sleep in a wet bed. • Any question you ask about the hotel or city is met with cold, dismissive energy you’ll remember this review in those moments. 6. As checkout time approaches, reception will start calling your room, send cleaning staff to knock, and keep pressuring you not politely, but in a noticeably unpleasant way. • For instance, the room next to mine was under renovation and had no guest for days. But they still called that room almost nonstop for 30 minutes as checkout time approached the sound echoed into my room. • The behavior of just one receptionist out of the hundreds I’ve met in over 100 hotels in Asia is what finally pushed me to...

Well it started out OK, a few minor problems - remote control batteries and something else minor and the were johnny on the spot. The front desk was okay but when I saw the beers I asked about charging them to the room thinking it would go to you and she said no which was fine seemed like a big ask. I am traveling with no cash which makes somethings more difficult and other things impossible. At about 9pm I am being assaulted by loud thumping music which meant an early night was out so I went to talk to the night crew and asked why they don't say it will be super loud. I have videos on google reviews an when I talked to one of your agents she was impressed with the volume. So I asked when it stops. 4am wihch wasn't true when the sun came up it was slightly lower but still obnoxious. I talked to you guys and you are great. Refund and late checkout - 3pm. Fine I can live with that. I am in the room at 1:30 and the wicked with of the East comes up in her green. I asked where the broomstick is she didn't laugh. She said mister in an overly loud voice you have to check out and I say no Ezmerelda I have a 3pm checkout. She pulls out a sheet of paper that says I need to pay 50% to stay. I said no ma'am. I read some reviews and she is a scammer to others - and the hotel has a 2.4 rating. Next thing I know the Royal police are there. I really have to figure out how to call 1155 from my american phone. Luckily I know the number 4 copy in all of Thailand because I think at first they were going to arrest me. I don't speak thai and they always take their word over mere paying tourists. I show him out chat and he said you got 10 minutes. I threw my stuff together which included a computer completely dissassembled. Putting it back together now to see if it will work. An absolute nightmare of a room. I'd really like to see you kick them off your great site. I told two groups walking up...

Review: Violet Tower at Khaosan Palace, BangkokI recently stayed at Violet Tower at Khaosan Palace, and overall, it was a solid experience for travelers looking to stay in the heart of Bangkok’s vibrant Khaosan Road area.Location:The location is unbeatable for those who want to immerse themselves in Bangkok's nightlife, food, and energy. You step out right into the action—street food, bars, music, and shops are all just a few meters away. However, it’s worth noting that the noise from Khaosan Road can carry into the rooms, especially at night.Rooms:The rooms are modern, clean, and compact. They’re not huge, but they’re well-equipped with essentials like air conditioning, a safe, mini-fridge, and a comfortable bed. The decor feels fresh and slightly more upscale than you'd expect for this price range. I appreciated the daily housekeeping service.Facilities:As part of the Khaosan Palace complex, guests at Violet Tower can use the rooftop pool—which offers a refreshing escape from the Bangkok heat and some nice views of the city. The lobby area is shared with the main hotel and has a 24-hour front desk.Service:The staff were helpful and professional. Check-in was smooth, and they kindly stored my luggage after checkout.Value for Money:Violet Tower offers good value for money if you're looking to stay near Khaosan Road. It’s ideal for solo travelers, couples, or friends wanting to explore Bangkok’s tourist core on a budget without sacrificing cleanliness or comfort.Final Thoughts:If you're a light sleeper or seeking a quiet, peaceful stay, this may not be your best pick due to the nightlife noise. But if you're visiting Bangkok to explore and party, Violet Tower at Khaosan Palace is a great base.⭐...

Advertising says it's a luxury hotel. I wonder how? This was definitely terrible experience! The room was very very dirty (maybe not even cleaned), tea cups, toilet basin and sink looked like some pig was living here and forgot to wash it! Disgusting. We had daily "housekeeping" service, the lady would spend ages in the room and would tide up the room only. The room stinks like someone was smoking INSIDE of room every single day and if we would turn the AC to refresh the air it would be just worst. We asked the housekeeping lady if she could give air refresh liquid so she just spread some SURFACE cleaner on AC so it got on all our belongings. If you are bringing kids, this place is not for you! This hotel is in the middle of Khaosan Road (our fault we didn't check it before getting here) and nightlife never stops! You would think that after spending days "touristing" around Bangkok in +35C you would sleep like an angel. Sadly no! We had to buy earplugs because it felt that the two close night clubs were in our room. People would be getting back and out all night long to pick something and as the room has zero sound proofing, it just made the whole experience even worse. Also, don't get surprised by the sounds of young tourists having sex with some ladies they found in the cheap bars down the road day and night that even your bed is shaking. I regret the money we paid and that we couldn't cancel it after the first night. This place is a no-no for families with children, for elderly, for anyone who wants to relax and enjoy their time without any disturbance.

Are you really on a short budget? Want a nice pool at the rooftop of your accommodation? Don’t mind loud noise and clubs area? Then this might be a good choice for you. We chose it because it was so hot in BKK that we needed a room with AC and a pool, that would fit our short budget and still allow us to stay around Kaosan road area. BUT be aware that Violet Tower is the budget part of this hotel called Khaosan Palace. We give 4 stars because the facilities are good for what we paid 19€ - bedroom for 2, private wc and awesome swimming pool at the roof top!! So rooms are clean and carefully decorated, bed is comfy, there’s mini bar, tv and phone in the room, but it’s small. Just like the private bathroom. The pool is wonderful at the rooftop of the main building, there’s lift to reach it and it’s really nice to spend time there, even though more shades are needed! Tge building where you’ll stay doesn’t have elevator, so you’ll have to carry your own luggage through the stairway to the room. There’s loud music until 2am AT LEAST, we slept anyway but maybe you won’t, don’t know! On the other hand you’re just 2 steps away from agencies, transports, 7 Eleven, bars, restaurants, massages and... party! Kaosan road is loud, crowded until late every evening. If you want quietness and early sleep, don’t stay in Kaosan road.

DON'T STAY HERE!! We paid extra for a better room that was a shoe box. The bed was small and extremely uncomfortable. There was little to no storage space and the bathroom needed a deep clean. The window view was to no where, just a brick wall. The in room Wi-Fi was slow and constantly threw us off. It became a struggle to check emails. During our 10 day stay not once did we have a hot shower even after speaking to reception and housekeeping. The pool on the website looks great but that is a total lie! It is tiny and can barely fit anyone in it. Nor is there enough space surrounding the pool for guests to relax. The only good thing about the pool area was the bar and a random seated area which had no view. Then there was the street noise. It was loud and on every single night until at least 2am. If we didn't have the tv on we could hear everything, that included other guests in their rooms. Reception staff struggled with anything beyond checking us in or out. We decided to be organized and order a taxi the night before. The receptionist couldn't do it and told us to book it while checking out, which seems a bit pointless. Avoid this place it is overpriced, cramped and the staff can't or won't help you.
