First and last time coming to this chain. Horrible dining experience!
The hostess asked what we wanted before we walked into the door, which was the premium buffet, but 10 min after we got seated, we wondered how to even get access to the premium lineup of food options, but it turned out that we got the basic buffet. They should ask what you want AFTER you sit down, NOT BEFORE.
The sauce buffet was never refilled during our time there. The sesame sauces were completely empty and were never refilled. We came in at 7:45, which is still a good amount of time before closing time. I could see they seated new people after us, so they definitely did not get a good choice of sauces.
There was this table of selfish old people that sat next to us upstream that hoarded all of the vegetables. This brings to light the problem of the conveyor belt buffet concept. All it takes is one table hoarding everything and BAM, someone else's dining experience is ruined. The portions they put out on the conveyor belt are super tiny and spaced out too far in between. The selfish old people also hoarded the watermelon and we had to ask the servers to bring out more just so my daughters could have a few slices.
I ended up walking to the area next to where they put plates onto the belt and taking the vegetables there. I'm pretty sure that's not how this concept is supposed to work.
We left 15 min before our 90 min was up, because we didn't want to be there anymore.
If you want good shabu shabu, DO...
Read moreNever had such a bad experience. We actually haven't ate at the restaurant as the hostess didn't let us in. We came a family of four to have our last dinner in BKK. A few minutes after we stood in line a couple came and the hostess didn't even looked at us, addressed them, showed them menus and ignored us. When we approached him to get his attention he said thet are full and there is a one hour waiting (even though the place was half empty). Immediately after saying that a father a son came and the hostess approached then and show the menu to them. Of course they got in while we walked away disappointed by the treatment we received. we felt embarrassed and disappointed! We have no idea why we received this treatment but When we looked into the restaurant there were no foreigners or tourists (non-Asian) but I really hope that this wasn't the reason we didn't get...
Read moreHaving skipped it couple of times earlier this time we gave it a go and Shabushi didn’t disappoint us. Unsure what to order from the menu at Japanese restaurant, head to this place in MBK, a place filled with of restaurants and eateries.
Shabushi, for inquisitive foodie like me, offers buffet that has a train of items running beside you and you can take what you like. Additionally, you can also order from the menu and they very courteously serve at your table.
Amazing variety of Sushi, Seafood and pork meat. Vegetarian items going to your soup are also in plenty.
Pick two soups and they let you pick other items from the train or kept at buffet counters. They serve you sauces at your table. Don’t miss their wasabi, it’s bold !!
Try out this place ! It’s real value for money !!
Did I mention plenty of ice creams and awesome...
