I flew in from another country and decided to get my hair cut here, but honestly I didn’t expect to be judged just for having a different hair type. It's 2025 and somehow someone doesn't know how to work with anything outside their culture’s beauty standards. It would've been fine if the cut came out okay, but the result says it all, uneven ends and forehead.
The hairdresser seemed in a rush after I didn’t go along with their opinion. I tried to explain what I wanted but they just ended the session, which is pretty weird for something that’s supposed to be a SERVICE. They didn’t even set my hair, just quickly straightened it, said it was done, and pulled the cape off like they couldn’t wait to be done with me.
If you’re not comfortable cutting my hair type, it’s totally okay to say so. No need to force it. Others' hair type might be easier to deal with, sure, but that doesn’t mean others should get treated poorly.
In my opinion, maybe they cut look fine on other people because others' hair type hide the flaws, not because the haircut is that so good.
Anyway, I appreciate your service regardless. I understand this economic system has its flaws, and low wages are just how it is.

I had a very disappointing experience at Phoenix Salon in Siam Square. I went in for a down perm but was persuaded by the stylist Nu to get a Brazilian blowout instead, with an additional charge of 1,000 THB. Trusting his recommendation, I agreed, only to end up with a result that was not what I wanted or needed.
What made the situation worse was the stylist's unprofessional attitude. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, he was unapologetic and claimed that the outcome was "normal," even accusing me of choosing the treatment myself. Instead of addressing my concerns, he continued to iron my hair unnecessarily, which only added to my frustration.
The only redeeming part of this experience was the receptionist. She was kind, apologetic, and promptly refunded my money, which I truly appreciated.
While I value the receptionist's efforts, the overall experience has left a negative impression. I hope the salon invests in better training for their staff to improve communication and...
Read moreI write as I sit in this salon watching my husband being treated like a king... for 500 THB. They even brought me (who is not a customer) a bottle of water. The haircut is being done quite fast and the specialist seems to know their job very well. She is so gentle and nice working that I feel the wave of relax as well. Moreover, it is not just one person taking care of the haircut but two: one person seems to be the assistant and does just the washing and preparing for the master to come and perform the cut itself. A point of information: you can choose from two price cathegories: 1000 THB and 500 THB. My husband has a quite basic haircut we thought 500 THB will be the best choice and did the right thing. The result: the haircut turned out to be exactly what we wanted and it looks very good. Especially that both the assistant and the master gave a nice design touch at the end. Big smile when walking out of this place. Most...
