Şeker Mantı — Restaurant in Beyoğlu

Don't go there unless you are brave enough. It's remind me of NatGeo "Scam City". At the first, owner and staffs are so friendly, then they will tried to fool you with the bill. They put ghost meal (which never been ordered and eaten). Since I ordered 3 meals, 3 tea, and zero soda, it's easy for me to calculate the price plus 10%. Then we found out that they have doubled by adding 90 lira on the bill for nothing. We refuse to pay the amount, nevertheless after I offer original price plus tax plus tips, the owner agree. This restaurant is a gem and I'm so glad we went in, they are such amazing gentleman and they looked after us as if we were family, we went back in May so the review is delayed but I would 100% recommend them to all my family and friends and would go back there myself if I was to ever visit Taksim again. There is some restaurant rivalry and there are a lot of fake reviews on here from competitors, dont let it put you off. AVOID this tourist trap, no prices on the platters dishes displayed and when I asked for 4 person platter price before ordering waiter said 1,000, when bill came he charged 4,000 for same dish and it was first night in Istanbul with family and didn’t want ruin their night so paid it grudgingly. The owners and workers are crooks and earning from haram income (unlawful income) and giving Turkish restauranters a bad name, shame on you!
