Chinese & Sushi Express — Restaurant in Beyoğlu

Stopped into Chinese & Sushi Express on a quest for any type of traditional chicken or duck dish. Menu online looks good, problem on this visit was restaurant was sold out of many things at 9:30 pm. No Chicken Katsu, Duck wraps or any type of fowl. We settled on a Beef stir fried noodle and an Angry sush roll and sashimi, which btw sashimi freshness saved this from a three star meal. Service is helpful however didn't seem to know what is available unless returning from the kitchen.

What Chinese & Sushi Express does well is sushi and sashimi. Their seafood is fresh, salmon and unagi very tasty and generously cut. Although the alluring atmosphere of the establishment, suggest a great dining experience. Unfortunately, that was not the case for us. The incompetent staff made ordering food a hazardous trouble. After waiting for our drinks, we were astonished to see a bug in our glass. Not thinking much of it, we waited for our sushi order. The lack of quality control is embarrassing for an establishment of their caliber. Awful rice, bad construction of the roll and weird presentation, was a mood kill! Sushi has been my favorite food for a while, but I was not eager to finish our meal. Afterwards, the same incompetent waiter, tried to sneak in an undeserving tip. Another fun outing, the food was good, hot and served in a timely manner for as much people were there. This is a small restaurant in a pretty nice party of town. I like that it is near the Metro and main road. For food, I had the Chicken Noodle with Sweet & Sour Sauce and the General Tao Chicken, which were pretty good, I thought the portion could be a little bigger because the prices but that isn't the case.
