Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Hype or the Price We booked the €125 Ottoman Deluxe Program based on the spa’s glowing 4.9-star rating, but the experience left us stressed rather than relaxed. Despite booking in advance, we arrived past noon to find the staff unprepared. No welcome drink (as others mentioned), and we were asked to pay upfront, which we later regretted. I recommend paying in cash in case of issues. We were given incomplete instructions (Korma) and laughed at for wearing the disposable garments “incorrectly.” Then came the shock: they asked if a male staff could bathe my friend—even though we’re both female and clearly requested female-only therapists during booking. Completely unacceptable. The service felt rushed and disorganized. We skipped the steam room (only later told it was broken), and we didn’t receive the 15-min foam massage or the 20-min foot reflexology as promised in the package. The bath wasn’t clean or warm, and the massage was clearly done by someone untrained—she even tried to crack my back, which I stopped immediately. We voiced concerns at the end, and the manager (Selma) was kind, but the damage was done. The overall experience was okay, but unfortunately, there were several issues that left us disappointed. We had booked a 60-minute massage with an additional 20-minute foot massage, but everything was rushed and done within the 60 minutes. When we politely pointed this out, the staff were clearly not happy and began giggling among themselves and speaking in their own language in a way that felt very disrespectful and made us extremely uncomfortable. It was obvious they were making fun of us, which ruined the relaxing atmosphere entirely.

The package we paid for also included hotel pickup and drop-off. While we were picked up as planned, the driver who was meant to drop us back was nowhere to be found at the end. This left us waiting and confused.

To add to that, the steam room wasn’t working when we arrived. When we asked about it, one of the staff rudely insisted it was working, only to turn it on about 10 minutes later, making us feel foolish for even asking.

The ladies were good and the Hannam experience was amazing but when we were doing the massage, I stuck my head in the head hole and it smelt weird. I didn’t wanna make a scene so I just folded the fabric up and went with the massage. When it was time for me to flip over I wasn’t able to because my beard was stuck onto the fabbric because a previous patron had left there gum and lipstick stuck on the fabric and my beard was all mushed up into it! The ladies were extreme apologetic and helping it getting me unstuck and the gum removed from my beard, but when we went to talk to the manager about it, he denied it and said it was impossible that it could’ve happened since they change the sheets after every client. Imagine being told that it’s impossible when you literally still have flecks of gum in your beard! He ended up just giving us 10 euros off the package which we felt like definitely not enough considering I was kind of trumatised after the whole ordeal.
