Babanın Yeri — Restaurant in Bodrum

This is the BEST place to eat local Turkish food in Bodrum! I've been in lots of cities in Turkey and this is by far in my TOP 3 to eat in all Turkey. I personally recommend the Tavuk şiş (grilled chicken with bulgur and vegetables). Perfectly cook, amazing quality ingredients (the restaurant is literally inside a food/vegetables market), huge portions, nice staff and also amazing food-price relation. It was suggested to me by a local guy when I was there in June 2021 and I couldn't be more satisfied, specially in Bodrum which is a really turistic and expensive city, this is an absolute gem! I will come back there...

Tourist Scam! Food are nice but they are overcharging tourist like crazy.

They charged 70TL for Lahmacun, which normally costs 20-30TL or less. For Kebab+Salad, the charged 200TL, are we in Turkey or in Munich???? In Berlin, they don‘t even charge us this price.

Once we went back to the restaurant asked them to clarify the older waiter said Kebap was 100TL and another waiter said it‘s 200TL. So he changed back to 200TL. SO OBVIOUS 🙄

They are not located in a 5-star setting to charge us these obscene price.

Food is tasty but they overcharge tourists and foreigners. The first time I went the same cashier charged me 50% more for the same exact thing, I already knew something was happening as everyone else got a paper receipt of the order prior to paying but not me. Not particularly honest, and I'm not surprised to see other comments along the same lines. Also, while I'm unaware whether legal or common in Turkey, they employ very young teenagers in the kitchen.
