I recently had the pleasure of dining at Briyani Palace, and it proved to be a satisfying culinary experience. The restaurant's authentic biryani, though a little pricey, was undeniably tasty, leaving a lasting impression on our taste buds.
The highlight of our meal was the chicken biryani and the biryani rice. Both dishes were bursting with aromatic spices and perfectly cooked grains, creating a symphony of flavors that delighted our palates. The tender chicken in the biryani and the fragrant rice left us craving for more. It was a joy to see how much my kids loved the biryani, as it can be a challenging task to please young taste buds.
The service at Briyani Palace was commendable, with prompt and attentive staff members who made our dining experience smooth and enjoyable. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided helpful recommendations. We appreciated their efficiency in ensuring that our needs were met throughout our visit.
It is worth mentioning that Briyani Palace includes a 10% service charge in the bill. While this may contribute to a slightly higher overall cost, it is important to consider that it covers the service provided by the staff. This transparency in pricing ensures that customers are aware of the additional charge beforehand.
While the biryani at Briyani Palace is undeniably delicious, it is worth noting that the prices might be on the higher side compared to other establishments. However, the quality of the ingredients and the authentic flavors justify the price to some extent. It is a matter of personal preference and budget when deciding whether the experience is worth the cost.
In conclusion, Briyani Palace offers a flavorful journey for biryani enthusiasts. The authentic taste, prompt service, and the enthusiasm of our kids make it a worthwhile dining experience. Though the prices may be considered slightly high, the overall quality of the food and the attentive service compensate for it. I would recommend Briyani Palace to anyone seeking a delicious biryani with a touch of luxury.

Read moreWe visited Biryani Palace, Istanbul with high expectations, but unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve ever had. We were a group of four adults and five kids, and the experience from start to finish was simply pathetic.
First of all, the service was extremely slow. It took forever for our food to arrive, and we had to constantly ask for basic things like tissue paper, spoons, glasses, and even drinking water. Nothing was brought to the table unless we specifically requested it multiple times.
When the food finally came, the portions were shockingly small. One biryani serving barely filled a single person. We had to keep ordering more just to make sure everyone got something to eat. And to make things worse, the only dish that was somewhat decent was the biryani. Everything else was a letdown — especially the chicken malai tikka, which tasted oddly sweet, almost like a dessert.
But the most shocking part: while feeding my child biryani, I found a stone in it. When we reported it to the staff, there was no apology, no concern — just a casual remark that “this happens sometimes.” Completely unacceptable.
We also ordered masala chai, and we specifically asked them to add ginger. After waiting 20 minutes, we were told the tea was forgotten. Then a server claimed it had to be remade. When it finally came, the tea had a thick frozen malai layer on top — a clear sign it wasn’t fresh. The taste was horrible, and the texture was worse.
To top it off, the prices are very high for the kind of service and food they offer. This place is not worth the money, the time, or the effort.
Final Verdict: • Poor service • Tiny portions • Below-average taste • Unhygienic (stone in food!) • Expensive for no reason
I strongly advise everyone to avoid this restaurant. This was by far one of our worst dining experiences...

Located just a 5-minute walk from Eminönü Station, Biriyani Palace sits in a very central and convenient spot. The initial ambience was decent—slightly dull and aged, but made up for by the fantastic view, which added charm to the dining experience.
🍽️ Food Review
Fish Biriyani: Unfortunately, this was a big disappointment. The rice was dry and undercooked, and the salmon tasted old and far from fresh.
Chicken Curry: This was the star of the meal – rich in flavor and well-balanced, a definite highlight.
Chicken Tandoori: I'd rate this 3/5 – it was evident the chicken was frozen and reheated, lacking that authentic tandoori freshness.
Naan: Soft, warm, and freshly made – no complaints here.
👨🍳 Service Experience
Fatima deserves a special mention for her kindness and professionalism. When we raised a concern about the biriyani, she was apologetic and even offered a complimentary dessert, which was a thoughtful gesture.
However, another server (with a broken hand) was quite the opposite – unapologetic, unprofessional, and frankly rude. When we expressed our concerns about the food, he responded dismissively with a “First of all...” and showed no empathy or willingness to address the issue. It's unfortunate to encounter such behavior in hospitality, and frankly, staff like this do no favors to the restaurant’s reputation.
💬 Final Thoughts
While the curry and naan were enjoyable, the rest of the experience felt overpriced for what was served. There’s potential here, especially given the location and the quality of some dishes, but serious improvements are needed in service and food consistency.
There aren’t many Indian restaurants in the area, so we hope Biriyani Palace takes guest feedback seriously. Would I return? Possibly, but only for the...
