If you're a fan of Turkish desserts, this is the place to be! Tatlıcı Safa Sirkeci offers a wide variety of traditional sweets like baklava, şöbiyet, and tulumba. The place is buzzing with locals and tourists alike, and the quality speaks for itself — crispy, fresh, perfectly sweet.
I tried the tulumba — golden, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, soaked in syrup but not overly sweet. Watching the staff prepare everything fresh behind the counter makes the experience even more authentic. You’ll also find a large selection of baklava with pistachio and walnut fillings, beautifully displayed.
Service was fast and friendly despite the crowd, and the atmosphere upstairs is cozy with traditional decor. Highly recommended if you want a real taste of Istanbul’s dessert culture!

Read moreRather than going to expensive and very touristic sweets shop in Istanbul, I prefer to go here. Many locals eat and spend relax time here. It was a very delicious treat! It is not too sweet, maybe because of the nuts content in it. Overall, what i like the most is the crisp. I also met the chef there and he is a very nice guy, i posted the picture with him. If you are lucky you can see him and talk to him :) we are served with turkish tea, so it is a perfect...
Read moreThere are multiple Safa outlets located around Turkey. This is one of the nearer to tourist places so as such it is VERY crowded. I can see that their patterns are a mix of both locals and tourists so I would think that their food are pretty reputable. Pricing wise I would think it's fine as well.
Definitely can give this a try but be warn, Turkish desserts are VERY SWEET. I felt so overwhelmed (maybe even too much) but then with friends we manage to finish them.
DEFINITELY you should try the Kunefe if their menu confuses you cause there are so much options. It's probably the only dish I feel sits in the middle of sweet but manageable. The ice cream is a complimenting the kinda friend texture of this dessert and make it a nice...
