Review of Ayam Shamieh Restaurant
Our experience at Ayam Shamieh Restaurant was a mix of positives and disappointments. While the food was plentiful and served in generous portions, the pricing was highly excessive. This, however, was not the only issue we encountered.
What stood out more was the peculiar attitude of the restaurant manager. When our group of esteemed individuals, including scholars and preachers, jokingly inquired about a possible discount on the bill—which totaled an astonishing 13,897—we were met with an unyielding insistence on paying the full amount. The manager refused to reduce even a single lira, leaving us quite taken aback by his inflexible approach.
Although we ultimately paid the amount in full, the interaction left a sour taste. A good dining experience goes beyond just the food; it is also about the service, treatment, and the lasting impression one takes away. Unfortunately, despite the quality of the food, the rigid and unaccommodating behavior of the staff ensured that this would be our first and last visit.
We will not consider revisiting Ayam Shamieh Restaurant, nor would we recommend it to others. Good taste is important, but respectful treatment and a positive experience...
Read moreThe most delicious chicken Shawarma I've ever tried my whole life. I highly recommend you to try it. I didn't actually find it on the menu but I asked for a normal chicken Shawarma with bread (samoon), and it costs only 14 Turkish lira. And if you want to eat the chicken Shawarma with flat bread it costs only 10 Turkish lira.
The place is honestly so crowded, and noisy inside, but if you buy a take out sandwich and eat it somewhere else it would be much better.
It is very close to Fateh mosque, so you can get a sandwich and go to the yard of the mosque and eat it there. It's very nice place and there are some chairs to sit, even for a family there are plet of room.
The best part about this place is that it's in the middle of the market and you can shop as much as you want and when you feel hungry you can grab a bite easily. There is no need to spend a lot of money every time when you're hungry.
Nowadays in Turkey the money you spend on food and restaurants is a lot comparing to the previous years, so it's better for you if you're with your family not to eat in restaurants all the time, and sometimes eat street...
