The breakfast selection was exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious homemade jams to accompany one of the best croissants I may have ever had. The croissants themselves were light and flaky, and baked to perfection. The freshness of the ingredients and the attention to detail in their preparation was evident in every bite. In addition to the delectable food, the coffee was simply perfect. The servers at Forno clearly take pride in their craft, creating a robust and flavorful cup of coffee that complemented the breakfast perfectly. What truly set Forno apart, however, was the exceptional service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, providing helpful recommendations and ensuring that every customer's needs were met. The attention to detail and personal touch made for an unforgettable dining experience. Overall, Forno is a fantastic restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable breakfast experience. With delicious food, excellent coffee, and exceptional service, Forno is definitely worth a visit. The weekend buffet style breakfast looks like a must try and I will definitely be going back for the pizzas.

It was a weekday. So they only served a la cart breakfast instead of buffet. We ordered one a la carte breakfast for three of us, and two lahmacuns with one Trabzon Pide. The breakfast tapas plates were fine, and it came with a typical Turkish omelette. The bread they serve with the breakfast is one of the best breads you can eat in town. They toast the bread before serving. It was my favorite part for the experience. Tea is not included in the price tag, which should be automatic for any place that serves breakfast. Lahmacuns were great, however I cannot say the same thing with Trabzon Pide. It does not even reach to a standard taste of what they promote it to be.

NOT recommend it AT ALL! I’m very angry! I was in this place several times, I brought my friends there. BUT it was THE LAST time when I was in Forno! Several days ago we were there at breakfast-buffet and there are things that we met in Forno (SHAME): - employees do not understand elementary English at all. I asked them several times to bring me hot/fresh burek and they didn’t understand me! We try to explain it with Google translate. ALWAYS they ‘rolled their eyes’ and made a ‘sad’ and disgruntled face when I asked something near the buffet table! - MOREOVER, she put croissants on my plate with her hands!!! - Then when I asked them to give me Nutella she made a disgruntled face and said that it finished, BUT I saw this chocolate bank on her table! Also, Forno should worry about the meals and, in this case, Nutella should be enough for each guest!! MOREOVER, we visited this place in the first part of the day (Aaron 10-11 A.M.) - NO hazelnut (findik) paste! Before was! - NO butter. Before was! - NO Helva. Before was! But price is higher than was before! I told about all things to the administrator and he brought the lemonade for us! That’s all! He thought that it’s enough for all these situations?! I wasn’t there for several months, BUT I never come back in this place! And I never recommend this place to my friends!!! For what I paid my money, Forno?! For disgruntled face?!

During our guided tour of Fatih, Fener, and Balat, we stopped at Forno Balat for lunch, and it was an excellent choice! The service was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious—highly recommended if you're in the area. Their homemade lemonade is simply outstanding—refreshing and full of flavour! The flat pizza was perfectly balanced, light yet incredibly tasty. But the real star was their unique apricot soufflé—just wow! A must-try dessert. We ended our meal with traditional Turkish tea and coffee, the perfect way to wrap up a fantastic dining experience. Definitely a place worth visiting!

Food wasn’t bad. We’re here for a month and we’ve already had many pides — this was pretty similar to one we had in a touristy spot near the grand bazar. The pizza looked good, but we came for the traditional stuff. There’s also 6 staff members here, but we aren’t sure what the point of all of them are. The guy in the kitchen delivers the food and is the one people are closing their tabs with. The woman who took our order never brought our drinks, so the chef had to ask what we had ordered. The best part about the meal was probably the spicy oil that we put on top of the cheese pide!

By far Forno is filled with all the best ingredients you are looking for when you want have good (sorry delicious) food; good service (sorry excellent); clean, fresh and delightfully decorated environment. I simply wish all the restaurant in Istanbul could have that quality. The pizza and the lahmacun are real chef d'oeuvres: Dough is the essential matter of these two cousins and Forno is excelling at delivering the best of it! Please try the Apricot Soufflé! Thank you and congratulations Mr. Jeffrey Tucker for this giving to the Istanbulites this Pearl on the Golden Horn.
