Fantastic coffee, stable wifi, and great service; but know it is noisy from traffic and has limited space. Had the Turkish coffee and later a cappuccino and both tasted great! Prices are standard, a bit more expensive as it is tourist guided… but still very accesible. I paid 14TYL for a cappuccino which tasted (and looked) fantastic, didn’t even have to add sugar. I did not try their food but it looked tasty; a very standard brownie, muffin and two or three local things. Had good working wifi. I must mention that it is not a quiet place as it is located on a busy corner, but you’re not going to find that type of place with this level of coffee on that part of town easily. Had 2 tables inside, a bar with 3 chairs, and 2 tables outside. I would get my coffee from there...
Read moreA small coffee shop nestled into the front of the Peyk Hotel. Perhaps the best coffee I had in Istanbul with the possible exception of the Kitabevi Cafe on Istiklal Cadessi in Beyoglu. If you're in the region of Cemberlitas/Grand Bazaar or the Hippodrome and you need a good coffee it is worth the short detour. Consider taking in lunch or dinner across the road at Ortaklar which is worth a visit too. Another excuse would be to visit the Serefiye Sarnici, a recently restored Byzantine cistern a few metres away and free to enter. Coffee is available to take away and drink at the tables...

Having seen both the dripper, the filters and that they serve filtered coffee I asked them how thats possible. They looked at each other and then talked about how they only make pour over with Colombian beans. For some strange reason they did not want to use the beans they used for filter coffee for pour over (which is filter coffee). So I suspect they either didn’t know how to make it, were lazy, or just stopped selling pour overs.
That being said. Cappucino and...
