Read moreWe went for dinner tonight and were thoroughly disappointed. The service quality was very poor. The food came out very slowly. We received our chicken Tikka first. After about 5 minutes we asked about our Naan, which was supposed to go with the Tikka. The chicken was going cold in the meantime. The waitress simply said she'd warm up our chicken... several minutes later we got our SOUP. And several minutes after that, our Naan. We had told her before then that we wanted to cancel the Naan since it had taken too long. Still, they brought the Naan to our table. We asked them to remove it since we didn't want it anymore, it took too long, and we finished our chicken already. She disagreed saying she cannot remove it and that we would be charged. We literally argued about this till she finally checked with the manager and then came back for the Naan. We finished our meal which was otherwise not bad. We paid and of course they took the Naan off the bill (this is more a matter of principle than about price).
While we finished our food we noted several other tables also complain (one about a longer delay for Naan, one about all their food, and another table with an issue with their bill).
Overall, their cooking may be okay but training the service staff and overall management does not appear to be a priority. They will continue to get customers simply because there is not a lot of choice in the area for Indian food, but this place could be ran so much better...
Don't argue with customers over a 40lira Naan when they are clearly frustrated over not just your slow service, but your lack of...
Read moreWe went there 2 times in a span of 12 days. First day the food was really good, but the dishes had barely any meat/potatoes in it. While we were casually eating our food, the male waiter was just hovering in front of our table constantly, making us feel a little uncomfortable as it felt like he kept staring at us so he could grab our plates as soon as it looked like we were finished ( the place wasn't even busy)
2nd time the dishes clearly had more meat/aloo in them but the taste was very mediocre. It was very obvious there was a different chef that day. We also ordered another naan, but we waited almost 15 mins for it, making the food become cold. We did make sure to order it while we still had naan available, but it was only until a second waiter asked if everything was okay, that she found the naan waiting for us in the kitchen. Not the greatest atmosphere (as we sat near the front window that they lowered down), because the wind blew in flies and smoke from the people smoking right in front of the place.
Both times, the starters also took a long time to get there. The veg pakoras were good but it was basically just fried onions. The chicken pakaros we got the 2nd time, were so tiny and basically was just fried chicken.
The garlic naan was really good both times, (sesame naan not so much) I would have given first visit 5 stars if that male waiter wasn't hovering right in front of us, and 2nd visit a 3 because the food had so much less flavor, but at least the female waiters were nice. Overall I'd give 3, so there is room for...
