A Flavorful Journey to Bombay Masala Indian Restaurant - A True Delight for the Senses. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bombay Masala Indian Restaurant, and it was an absolute culinary delight. From the delectable biryani to the mouthwatering Chicken Karahi, every dish exceeded my expectations and left me craving for more. First and foremost, the restaurant's location is ideal, making it easily accessible and convenient for diners. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor to the area, finding Bombay Masala is a breeze, allowing you to focus on the extraordinary flavors that await you. Now, let's talk about the food. The biryani at Bombay Masala was an absolute standout. Bursting with fragrant spices and perfectly cooked rice, each bite was a symphony of flavors that transported me straight to the streets of India. The combination of tender meat, aromatic spices, and the subtle hint of saffron made it an unforgettable dish. Equally remarkable was the Chicken Karahi. The rich and robust gravy, combined with succulent pieces of chicken, created a culinary masterpiece. The flavors were balanced to perfection, with just the right amount of heat and a medley of spices that made each mouthful a true delight. Furthermore, the variety of dishes offered at Bombay Masala ensured that there was something for everyone. From the flavorsome vegetarian options to the delectable meat and seafood dishes, the menu catered to diverse palates, showcasing the true essence of authentic Indian cuisine. The service at Bombay Masala was exceptional, with the staff demonstrating attentiveness and knowledge about the menu. Their warm and friendly demeanor added to the overall dining experience, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our visit. Lastly, I must emphasize that the flavors at Bombay Masala were truly authentic. The attention to detail in capturing the essence of Indian cuisine was evident in every dish, and it was a joy to savor the traditional spices and flavors that transported me back to the streets of Bombay. In conclusion, my experience at Bombay Masala Indian Restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. From the convenient location to the tantalizing flavors, this establishment is a true gem. The delicious biryani, mouthwatering Chicken Karahi, impeccable service, and authentic taste all combine to create an unforgettable culinary journey. I highly recommend Bombay Masala to anyone seeking an exceptional Indian dining experience. I look forward to returning soon to savor more of their delectable dishes. Note: This review is based on my personal experience and the state of affairs at the time of my visit. Please verify the current menu and offerings of the restaurant before planning your visit.

We visited this restaurant based on a recommendation from a friend living in Istanbul, despite noticing several negative reviews online—particularly about the food quality and high prices. Hoping for a good experience, my wife and I decided to give it a try. We ordered one Bombay Special Chicken Biryani, and it was served after about 20 minutes. Unfortunately, the dish was extremely spicy to the point that we couldn’t continue eating—it caused a burning sensation in our throat and chest. We immediately raised the issue with the staff, and to their credit, they offered to replace the dish. However, the replacement was even more disappointing: the so-called Chicken Biryani came with just two pieces of potato and plain rice—no chicken at all. The overall experience was quite poor. The restaurant does not seem to prioritize customer satisfaction. The food quality and portion size were below expectations, and certainly not worth the price. The biryani cost 690 TL, and on top of that, they added a 2% service charge. We left feeling very dissatisfied. I strongly advise others to avoid this restaurant. There are much better options around, especially if you want to enjoy authentic local Turkish cuisine. # Not recommended # Biryani was far from authentic Indian cuisine # Poor service and overpriced food # Unprofessional attitude toward customers

Enjoyed Veg Thali. It had Dal Makhani, Naan, Jeera Rice, Paneer Butter Masala, Papad, and Salad. Just enough quantity for 1 person. Food was tasty and spicy enough to find Indian taste buds satisfiable. If you are in the old town area, then this is a good option to explore. I went in for 2nd time, and this one completely changed my opinion about the food taste and quality and quantity. I ordered Bhindi Masala, Paneer Kadhai, and Garlic Naans. Omg, I was super happy to enjoy perfectly cooked to light crispy texture of Bhindi with Onions and Tomatos perfectly added spicy level.. Paneer was super soft and bell peppers, and Onions were so fresh and well cooked, still having light, crispy texture to enjoy it. I didn't expect this authentic taste like Mumbai at all. So, hats off to chef it to make it to perfection. Quantity was also more than sufficient for an individual dish. Last time, I had a limited Thali, so that could be a reason for lesser quantity in it. But if you are in Istanbul and craving for good Indian and Spicy food. Don't miss Bombay Masala.

We went for dinner tonight and were thoroughly disappointed. The service quality was very poor. The food came out very slowly. We received our chicken Tikka first. After about 5 minutes we asked about our Naan, which was supposed to go with the Tikka. The chicken was going cold in the meantime. The waitress simply said she'd warm up our chicken... several minutes later we got our SOUP. And several minutes after that, our Naan. We had told her before then that we wanted to cancel the Naan since it had taken too long. Still, they brought the Naan to our table. We asked them to remove it since we didn't want it anymore, it took too long, and we finished our chicken already. She disagreed saying she cannot remove it and that we would be charged. We literally argued about this till she finally checked with the manager and then came back for the Naan. We finished our meal which was otherwise not bad. We paid and of course they took the Naan off the bill (this is more a matter of principle than about price).

While we finished our food we noted several other tables also complain (one about a longer delay for Naan, one about all their food, and another table with an issue with their bill).

Overall, their cooking may be okay but training the service staff and overall management does not appear to be a priority. They will continue to get customers simply because there is not a lot of choice in the area for Indian food, but this place could be ran so much better...

Don't argue with customers over a 40lira Naan when they are clearly frustrated over not just your slow service, but your lack of...

We went there 2 times in a span of 12 days. First day the food was really good, but the dishes had barely any meat/potatoes in it. While we were casually eating our food, the male waiter was just hovering in front of our table constantly, making us feel a little uncomfortable as it felt like he kept staring at us so he could grab our plates as soon as it looked like we were finished ( the place wasn't even busy)

2nd time the dishes clearly had more meat/aloo in them but the taste was very mediocre. It was very obvious there was a different chef that day. We also ordered another naan, but we waited almost 15 mins for it, making the food become cold. We did make sure to order it while we still had naan available, but it was only until a second waiter asked if everything was okay, that she found the naan waiting for us in the kitchen. Not the greatest atmosphere (as we sat near the front window that they lowered down), because the wind blew in flies and smoke from the people smoking right in front of the place.

Both times, the starters also took a long time to get there. The veg pakoras were good but it was basically just fried onions. The chicken pakaros we got the 2nd time, were so tiny and basically was just fried chicken.

The garlic naan was really good both times, (sesame naan not so much) I would have given first visit 5 stars if that male waiter wasn't hovering right in front of us, and 2nd visit a 3 because the food had so much less flavor, but at least the female waiters were nice. Overall I'd give 3, so there is room for...
