Since the weather was lovely, we chose to be seated outdoors. We started our dinner with fried calamari together with a very decent bottle of Turkish Rosé.

Since we’ve been having many lamb and beef based meals, it was befitting to order some local fish, I selected grilled sea bass with seasonal greens and grilled potato. The fish was fresh and grilled to perfection.

I came across this restaurant, when I was looking for top rated Fish restaurants in the area, back in 2017. I revisited the restaurant in January 2023, and the experience was as good as back then. The restaurant is small and cozy. We had fish cooked in salt and fish stew, in addition to appetizers. Salad comes as a gift with the fish. The fish tasted so good and fresh, and I re-quote one of my colleagues comments, who said it tastes like butter, and didn’t have any rancid smell. The Hummos tasted like freshly prepared, and they offer a special seasoning with the fish that makes the dish even better. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a wonderful lunch at Sultanahmet Fish House, just a short walk from Hagia Sophia. The food was absolutely delicious, we had butter-cooked shrimp, a flavorful calamari casserole, and perfectly grilled meatballs. The traditional tomato paste with hot chili sauce added a great local touch to the meal.

What truly stood out was the exceptional service, warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. To top it all off, they served us complimentary watermelon and Turkish tea, which made the experience feel even more special.
