To start off - this restaurant is wonderful. Yesterday my girlfriend and I have experienced the tasting menu at 1450 TL per person. PRICE: 2x tasting menu + 2 glasses of wine were 3720 TL = 138 USD. The food was really tasty. Portions are huge. At the end of the experience we literally couldn't fit any more desser, so unfortunately we left some. Starters are really good - freshly baked bread with 5 dips including home made hummus, muammara, babagannus and 2 others dips. They bring more bread every time you finish it. There is also exceptionall black olive spread made from really matured olives. I have never before tasted such strong olives spread. Great job. As to hot starters. They are great too. Sailors roll with honey is worth every bite and stuffed dried eggplant surely is interesting. Main courses - goose kebap and lamb neck with plum where delicious. Goose kebap will surprise you, as it is originall and delicious. Lamb neck is sweet and the meat is literally falling apart at it's own. Delicious. After that you find it hard to breath as your stomach is already full. Then comes the dessert. Levine - some special halva. Really good. Sweet, pistachio, delicious. Paired with good red wine. Mmm Additionaly every meal is explained to you in details. So every time you know what you eat. The scenery - it is cosy, chairs are comfortable, and the lovely street next to the restaurant adds charm. The bar is straight out of Indiana Jones movie. The service - amazing. The waitress are professional and friendly as is the manager Mustafa. Even tho there was a small slip in the order of the meals on tasting menu. It didn't affect our experience. We are all humans after all. It was late and the waiter had every right to be tired. So we don't mind at all, as apart from that, he truly was excellent. One of the greatest and friendliest waiter I had the occasion to interact with. Moreover because of the situation we were given some extra dessert as a form of compensation - which really wasn't necesary, but it was a nice touch. Overall this is an excellent restaurant. A gem in the city center. I think for all the reason above it managed to be placed in The Michelin Guide 2023. You definitely should visit it. Thanks for the experience.

A Memorable Ottoman Culinary Experience at a Turkish Restaurant (( ask for SEYIT he will make you happy)) I recently had the pleasure of dining at an exquisite Turkish Ottoman restaurant that left a lasting impression on me. The combination of impeccable service, delectable food, and captivating décor made for an unforgettable experience. Drawing inspiration from the customer reviews I read earlier, I was eager to visit this restaurant in the heart of Istanbul. The moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the restaurant's authentic Ottoman design, which was complemented by soothing music and a warm ambiance. It truly transported me back in time to the glorious days of the Ottoman Empire. The service at this restaurant is nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that I had a memorable experience. They were attentive, cheerful, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering tailored recommendations based on my preferences. Seyit, the server mentioned in one of the reviews, truly stood out with his enthusiasm and genuine passion for his work. The food at this Turkish Ottoman restaurant was a delightful culinary journey. Each dish was carefully crafted with love and attention to detail, utilizing traditional Ottoman recipes with a modern twist. I sampled various appetizers, including the highly recommended goose kebab and a divine dessert. The seasoning and flavors were perfectly balanced, leaving my taste buds longing for more. In conclusion, this Turkish Ottoman restaurant is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an authentic and memorable culinary experience in Istanbul. From the enchanting décor and atmosphere to the exceptional service and delicious food, it's no wonder this restaurant has earned rave reviews from its patrons. I can't wait to return and try more of their delectable offerings.

The food is good but not exactly Michelin star amazing. The plating and overall presentation can definitely be improved on. As for it’s atmosphere, again I don’t see how it’s on a Michelin level and if there truly is something interactive, experiential or simply mindblowingly different, the staff truly failed to bring this across. As for the overall staff performance, I only gave it a one simply cuz the maître’d was rather polite receiving me, even as I was semi drenched and not exactly in a swanky outfit (I was in shorts and a windbreaker, both from Uniqlo, hence nothing luxury worthy). Other than him, rest of the staff was merely going thru the motion, no warm inviting smiles, no effort to introduce the dishes they’re serving. Again, I feel it’s really cuz of my less than glamorous attire and the only East Asian looking person in the restaurant. The climatic conclusion was when I paid and left an additional 200 lira as tips without receiving any appreciation or even a faint acknowledgement; and when I finally left the restaurant, a wait staff came chasing after me asking if I’ve paid my bill seeing I just left the restaurant quietly. Naturally, at that point I’m already over being shocked at how poor the service is. There was no effort in checking with his colleague before yelling across the room and what I feel is a gross lack of communication from the very colleague handling the bill. Sorry (not sorry). Worst experience in any restaurant in any country thus far (note: I may not be an avid traveler but I did travel across 25+ countries and 60+ cities with my Singapore passport).

I want to start off with the good so you don’t think my comment is biased and made out of frustration. My friend and I ordered a Mixed Appetizer Plate for starters. It was good and tasty except for the hummus which was dry and not creamy and velvetty as hummus should be prepared. Now to the bad part. My friend ordered Kulbasti Salmon Fish. The description on the menu reads “Grilled fish with seasonal greens cooked on a charchoal grill”. Now the reality: the salmon was completely dry and overcooked and the charchoal grilling was definitely not part of the process, the seasonal greens is a small mixed salad sprinkled with some aceto and a small white sauce on the side - all of this for 940 turkish lira (25€). I ordered the Goose Kebab. The description reads “Goose meat with rice and a special sauce in phyllo pack”. Now the reality: The goose meat was dry, overcooked and not juicy at all. The rice was overcooked and too soft. The sauce and puree were virtually non existant and way too little of it for the amount of rice and goose. Later in the night i began experiencing stomach cramps and nausea which is reminiscent od Bacillus cereus bacteria symptoms that ocurr in rice that has been reheated several time. Luckily I didn’t eat much of the rice as it wasn’t good to begin with, so the food poisoning wasn’t too severe. All this experience for 1500 turkish lira (40€). For a michelin guide recommended restaurant this is a disgrace to happen. And a friendly warning also. On the bill when we calculated the price of all of the items ordered it was less then the sum total price. When I asked the waiter why this was, he said there was a service charge of 10% included, which should be transparent on the bill but it was nowhere stated as a seperate component of the bill, which it should be. So the modus operandi of the restaurant is presenting the sum total of the bill to which probably most customers add a hefty tip and are completely unaware of the 10% service charge that was already charged. I recommend you avoid this restaurant as the money and potential health risks...
