We have been visiting this restaurant for many years and always loved it. But over the last few years we have realised somethings in service have started to lack. The starters, main courses and the side dishes tend to now arrive on cold plates so the meal is already becoming cold when served. None of the courses arrived together so it is quite normal for your meal to arrive and you start eating and being nearly finished before the rest of your guests food arrives which is very strange and awkward. Many customers sit with their coats on if chilly outside as they don't think to put the heating on without being prompted.
Years ago (4 years ago) when we first started enjoying our visits here when you ordered, cutlery would be given straight away then a short time later your starters and side orders would arrive. But now over the last two it is the standard that you won't be given any cutlery unless you get it yourself or call them over and request it. And none of the food arrives hot or together.
A real shame.
The decorations use to be of the amazing relics and gifts of Islam and the blessed Royal Malaysian family and the images of Malaysia, now you are surrounded by huge adverts of animal supplements, etc.. The seating area itself is showing its wear and tear, missing tiles on the floor, toilets usually wet floor and overflowing tissue bin.
May Allah SWT bless you all...
Read moreVery beautiful restaurant and facilities, and the location is excellent and very accessible. The main problems are the price and service. The prices are equivalent to haute cuisine 5-star dining in Istanbul, but the service we received for those prices was a standard for McDonald’s. I dare say the McDonald’s I ate at in Tokyo has superior service to this place. The only exception was the cashier who was genuinely friendly. Visit Pandeli in the grand bazar and see what real service is for these prices.
We paid 215 lira for Nasi Lemak and Mee Goreng that was plain and nothing at all to comment on. And for those prices, you can eat the best Turkish food anywhere in the city. The only item worth mentioning was the Teh Tarik which, thankfully, was 5-stars and worth the price. Even in Malaysia they would win any competition with the Teh Tarik, it’s really that good.
But all in all, I can’t recommend this place unless you’re desperate to be in a Malaysian restaurant and willing to pay exorbitant prices for the privilege. But many Indonesian restaurants offer almost the same food at half the cost around the city, minus the Teh Tarik which is uniquely Malaysian. So personally, my family and I won’t be going back. We can make Teh Tarik at home and my wife’s Masakan Melayu can easily win...
Read moreOne of favorite place in İstanbul for the one who seeking Malaysian food. The place is really easy to find and the prices also 👍🏻
You can use Topkapı Ulubatlı Metro to go there, Edirnekapı metrobus, or stop at Edirnekapı bus station. As it is at the center or the city, the place is really easy to get. They have discount on Friday at 2 pm until 6 pm. All the served food's prices is just 15 TL. Even you can take ad many as you want, the price is just the same 😁
Except Friday, will the price become really expensive? No, the price is really suitable for university's students. You can get the food from 12 Lira and above. Do not forget to try 'Teh Tarik', it is Malaysian special tea. The tea is mixed with milk. Try 'canai' too. This kind of food is just can be found on this restaurant. 😋 They have thailand's food as well, but the taste is already being manipulated depends on Malaysian people's taste.
The restaurant also has live music at the garden. So, you can enjoy your meal while listening to Malay songs as well. If you want to see beautiful scenery, go tı the last floor of the restaurant. The view is just...
