I was recommended this restaurant and based on the reviews it was one to try...how wrong I was.
We ordered their local special and based on the picture, we believed it would be enough and we were shocked what we received (check images). The menu showed a stack of meat and flat bread, however we literally received not even half of what is shown on the menu.
The food tasted good however the reason for this 1* review was due to the environment, the manager's kids were running around screaming. The biggest issue was the kid coming to our table and grabbing our drink with their hand in the cup. If we didnt grab it, it would of smashed on the floor. The child continued to pick up my GF's phone, sunglasses etc with no one supervising them. The kid then grabbed my gf's fork and dropped it on the floor.
Further to this there was a pregnant dog walking around the place and sat at our feet whimpering for food. It made us feel very uncomfortable, especially my girlfriend, who is afraid of dogs.
We asked the staff if they could move the children and dog and they did but due to no supervision they came back and continued to do the same thing. One child was standing on a chair directly behind my seat and was leaning over the wall across my back and screaming.
I privately spoke to the manager to ensure I didnt impose my thoughts on other customers out of courtesy and he understood my viewpoint but begrudgingly apologised once and offered no discount etc. He explained the picture was for 10 people yet this wasnt even an item to order and explained this is misrepresentation.
I hate to leave reviews like this, especially for independent family run places with a lovelysetting, however they left us no choice and ruined our last night in...
Read moreLovely scenic spot to have a meal - we came here for dinner and enjoyed the slowly setting sun transition into the evening. The food was superb - I had the fish of the day that was panfried to perfection with soft tender flesh and crispy fragrant skin.
The manti was also really good too and my partner enjoyed his pottery lamb. The ingredients used were really high quality and you can really taste the freshness of it all. The side of roasted peppers were so deliciously sweet and I hope to taste it again, can’t get it out of my mind.
The table bread was fresh and soft and went well with the side dishes and with the leftover manti sauce - perfect.
The terrace was a great place to sit, and was brightly lit with fairy lights. Most of all, friendly service and a cosy homely atmosphere. We...
Read moreMaybe when the terrace is open it's a different story, but the inside dining room is quite sad. We were the only ones there, there was a record player with a broken record, the whole experience was quite weird. To use the toilet we had to go into one of the bedrooms, it was not particularly clean and there was no towel available to dry our hands. We ordered 2 completely different meat dishes, only to find out that they were basically cooked in the exact same sauce. The waiter forgot to bring one of the 2 drinks we ordered, and disappeared completely after serving us. We had to waive to call him. I am truly sorry to leave a bad review because I know it's a family-run business, however our experience was...
