Haruna Cappadocia — Restaurant in Göreme

Look no further! This is the best restaurant in Goreme, we tried other places and nothing compared. Best value for your money. The service is amazing and the menu is very good. Beautiful restaurant with bar and terrace. Best view in Goreme in my opinion. Situated atop the very exclusive Carus hotel and close to center area. We tried other places for breakfast and dinner and nothing compared. After the 3rd day we just decided to return here for breakfast and dinner every single day. This way we knew we would always have excellent service and food quality in an elegant restaurant with a good view. I have to add that the service at Haruna is amazing. The waiters and super nice and accommodating. They would even accommodate additions to our breakfast such as fresh fruits, fresh pressed juices and coffees, all at no extra charge. We have to attribute this in part to one of the greatest restaurant managers we have ever met. His name is Mahmet and he was amazing. He would great us every time we came in, take our coats and then be there by the elevator to waive us goodbye. He was kind, attentive and always gave us extra food gifts as a way to say thank you. The breakfast is the biggest we have seen in Goreme and for only USD$10! We got a table full of Turkish breakfast plates. They would also include Turkish egg plates at no extra charge served in huge food plates. We tried other places and the plates were small and the place had no view. Overall overrated and overpriced. Everyone needs to pay 10 percent service charge additional to what they eat. Food wasn’t bad, maybe better than other restaurants in Goreme, anyhow in Turkey nobody would eat there, its just a touristic restaurant where you shouldn’t expect more than the view and fancying. Two days ago we were in Ankara and same week in Istanbul, this restaurant wouldn’t live long in that cities. The steak we ordered was small and cutten in two small pieces very thinly, which doesn’t mean proper steak anymore. When we asked why we had to pay additional service charge, which doesn’t exist anywhere in Turkey, they mentioned about inflation etc. Funny in Cappadocia Goreme that all restaurants try to take service charge, but I am not paying and I didn’t, they can’t complain as long as they don’t inform you in advance❤️ Enjoy your...

It is an incredible place with the most incredible view. The staff is friendly and helpful. The manager couldn’t find our reservation and still gave us an amazing table. The food is absolutely delicious. The staff welcomes you with bread (not the ordinary white one but a healthier one with peppers), olives, olive oil, and cheese. They give you free water. We ordered the Confit Chicken Thighs, the Grilled Bass, and the Crispy Fish Cakes. The Crispy Fish Cakes were absolutely incredible! One of the best things I have ever tasted. The restaurant is one of not many places where you can get wine. The wine was pretty good. We tried the ayran, as well. It was traditional and really tasty.
