Read moreWe were so looking forward to a nice meal after 5 days of illness & cycling in the heat. The photos in the menu looked great, and reviews read really well. The reality? Check our photos. My meal, grilled eggplant & lamb casserole, was tasty and just what I expected. My husband ordered the lamb skewers which were shown as 2 skewers, gilled peppers, tomatoes, onion & parsley salad and bulgur rice. What arrived at the table was a small handful of gristly, tough lamb cubes, one thin durham wheat wrap and a few small pieces of lettuce. Very disappointing. We never complain but this was just rude. The Turkish waiter agreed that he should have said they don’t serve any of what was shown in the photo, only the lamb and a flat bread. We have travelled Turkey extensively and I lived here for 5 years. If tourists continue to accept such poor delivery, nothing will change. Note my husband’s meal in the background as soon as it was served. We felt bad for the lovely Afghani staff as none of this was their fault. Read moreA big shame as this place has a lot of potential with the location and terrace but we were left very disappointed. We were not super hungry so decided to order a lamb shish and share. It took 40 minutes for the food to arrive and it was much smaller than the pictures on the menu and even some images that are in past reviews. The lamb was so dry and brittle and very over cooked, there were about 8 very small pieces. The service was friendly but very average, when we were asked how the meal was we responded with not good and they said “okay”, shrugged and walked away, we also told the owner it wasn’t good and explained why, he was more apologetic but didn’t offer to remove service fee which is 10% which would have been a good compensation. The food was also very expensive for what you get and unfortunately a bit of a tourist trap as it’s on the main road. Best to avoid and find somewhere...
