This has to be on everyone’s bucket list. Arrive at the take off site around 5 a.m. These beautiful balloons are handled by expert controllers. Can hold approximately 16 people in one basket. A lot of safety measures and precautions explained before taking off. It is amazing to see these balloons rise slowly and gracefully up to a height of 1000 feet above sea level. The views of Goreme are spectacular at this height. But when the sun begins to rise form the horizon WOW!!! We soared gently for quite sometime in that. Total flight time was over an hour. We landed in an green empty field close by. The landing was well handled by the team. I couldn’t say enough good things about this company. First of all, the owner of the company Nevzat was extremely responsive and organized absolutely everything for our stay in Cappadocia (from airport transfers, two full day private tours, balloon ride and ultimately our hotel). Suat our guide was extremely knowledgeable, personable and adjusted items on the fly based on our wants / desires.
