Well, the terrace is nice and the view is stunning, but the prices are exorbitant for many positions. But the worst point is the service. We came with a reservation. The waiter on the terrace (a man in his 50s I guess) came to take our order. We had some questions about the quantities and ingredients but it didn't take a lot of time, just a few minutes. While my mum was hesitating, I ordered salmon and just started to turn menu pages talking about wine they have but he suddenly left, with no words, to gave menus to another table. Well, okay. He came back and I ordered a glass of wine, he seemed to listen very carefully and asked me if I wanted a bottle or a glass. My mum said she needed more time to choose a drink. He left, and never came back to take her order for a drink, not even 10 minutes later. After our dishes came but I still had no wine. I ask if I could have it and he was like: "But you didn't order!" Excuse me? I said I did, he left again to do something else and just a few minutes after finally asked me: "What was the wine you ordered?" Not even "sorry", nothing at all. It's like it was all my fault. Well... We ate pretty fast and then asked for the bill, paid it and we're still discussing some stuff (for maybe 5 minutes I guess), then he came to our table and asked if we needed anything else. We said no thank you and he told us we need to leave because they had another reservation. And nobody actually told us our time there was limited, normally it's the thing they tell you in advance in restaurants. It was like: "You will not pay more, so get out of here". And if we wanted some more wine, what's then? Well, very bad experience about the service, and they take 10% of your bill for that (and it's not the thing in every place in...
Read moreThe waiting Staff are nice and theres great views but that's the end of what's good about this restaurant. I had seabass it was grilled but overcooked and bland, all it came with was a bit of sad salad again bland, not a dressing in sight. The complementary bread didnt have even come with butter. I didn't have the lobster as it is 4000 Turkish lira, which equates to about £160, my partner had the king prawns which were £8 per prawn. Overpriced for food that quite frankly isn't great. Then to add insult to wallet injury, when the guy at the restaurant across started talking to us and I was asking if the menu there was the same price and standard etc as the Old Town Terrace, because if it was I wasn't interested in going. The woman on the door at the Old Town Terrace, who was on the phone as we'd left, started shouting at me.The next day my pattern had a very upset stomach. I definitely would...
Read moreThese people are thieves. We came from one of the rooftops that the food didn’t look that good in search for good seafood that they advertised to be excellent. A crazy lady came to take our order and we specifically said no bone in the fish and she said no problem, fillet it is, an hour later, they bring us a half fish with no meat and full of bones. We asked to please give us a fillet and within seconds they bring the same fish looking all weird. Then they bring the check and we realized that they even charged us for sauces that are supposed to come with the food. Figure that! We also noticed they charged us for the tonic water from the gin and tonic….who buys a gin and tonic and gets charged for the tonic water separate??? Never coming back here again! Run away from this place and the crazy lady that takes...
