This is our 3rd visit to Ayar Meyhanesi and we continue to be impressed by the quality of food and the service. Tonight we started out with the Avocado Green salad, the dressing of which was very flavorful. For appetizers we had the fresh grilled Calamari... this was superbly spiced and perfectly grilled. For our entrees; from the refrigerated seafood case we picked out one Lufer and 4 medium size Barboun. The Lufer was exquisitely grilled while the Barbouns were fried just right. The presentation was dazzling... the Lufer was meaty and had a good taste and didn't smell fishy at all. The Barbouns; my favorite, were just as tasty as ever. For Dessert, Ahmet, the owner of this magnificent restaurant, suggested the Hot Figs with Ice Cream... OMG... this was delicious beyond expectations. Ahmet and his entire team of professional wait staff always do an excellent job and are impeccable with their service and attention to detail. Ahmet is a super host, very friendly and his smile is truly contagious. We just love coming here because we know we're going to have a wonderful meal and Gastronomic Experience. I highly recommend you pay Ayar Meyhanesi and Ahmet a visit... I assure you that you'll leave here happy and your appetite completely satisfied.

Stopped here for dinner the other night and after having the worst experience at restaurant Telatur the night before, we were a little apprehensive. However within a minute of choosing to eat here we felt completely welcomed. Our friendly waiter Denie let us choose our table and gave us time to settle before showing us all the mini plates available which we’d asked about. Honestly the cheese and green dip was incredible as was the sizzling prawns. Nothing was to much for the staff here, friendly and approachable and all done with a smile. We ordered the chicken skewers with salad and fries for our main and they were equally as good and grilled on the bbq. Huge selection of fresh fish is also available here. They have live Turkish music in the back and the place is equally full of locals, so you know it’s good. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a bit more authentic food along with great atmosphere and really good staff. Ohh I forgot to mention they gave us complimentary fresh water melon and Turkish tea at the end, just shows they really do value their customers. Thank you and see you again!

We ordered Aperol Spritzers 400£, Levrek (pirate stew) 600£ ($18), grill calamari 900£ ($27) and a whole grilled sea bass 1,600£ ($48). The prices on the menu are for the farm raised versions of the fish. The server brought a tray of fresh grouper and prawns to the table and showed pictures that weren’t on the menu. It felt like a high pressure upsell. They price the meal based on weight and do present the total before you place the order. The seafood was dramatically presented with smoking dried ice. The sea bass was fresh and tasty but the skin was not crispy. The squid was rubbery and not enjoyable to eat. The stew was murky and muddled tasting. We don’t mind paying for quality seafood but the stew and calamari were overpriced for what was served. The servers were attentive but I could have done without the upsell. The atmosphere was nothing special. A 10% service charge was included in the bill.

Tonight I went to this amazing restaurant with my wife. We were greeted by Engin who personally showed us and helped us decide which fish to get (sea bream) and the meze of appetizers, including a spicy tahini dish which was excellent. On his recommendation we ordered one fish as it was plenty along with the enormous prawns and octopus. His English was very very good and he explained EVERY appetizer in detail to us. Fish was simply grilled and the prawns, pan seared in garlic butter. Fish was so fresh and delicate. Octopus was like butter and not tough. Our server was Peri and another gentleman. She was wonderful. Attentive and funny and not intrusive. At the end they gave us a type of börek called Katmer. If it’s the ONLY thing you do in Antalya, it needs to be to go to this restaurant and order this. Homemade, served warm with ice cream that was very smooth. We might go back tomorrow!!

Location is stunning, in the heart of Antalya old town, the restaurant is very elegant, with a fountain in the middle, perfect for a date night or event for a dinner where you have to impress your guests :) Service was stunning, I was by myself and I've been made feel very comfortable by the staff that went above and beyond to help me with the menu.. In particular, Mr Engin, gave me really good advice related to fresh fish, suggesting me a good option for a very good price (see picutes). He also kept checking during my meal if I was satisfied with the choice and they even delighted me with a free plate of fruit salad! I have really appreciated all their efforts to make my evening very pleasant! I really suggest to visit this restaurant as I consider it one of the best I've been to during my stay in Antalya!

OMG 😱! I might just fly to Antalya just to eat here …. I have had octopus 🐙 over 100 times so does calamari. This was the most delicious and well cooked I have ever had…. This is coming from a world 🌎 traveller!!!! Selection of fresh seafood 🦞, the information and advice provided by the staff was exceptional so was the recommendations of food choices and wine. What a change and and a positive one from Michelin star tasting menus with wine pairings! If I could give a Michelin star ⭐️ I would! Service is exceptional!!!! Sooooooo kind staff! So attentive. We had the most amazing evening in Antalya and highly recommended! Just don’t take my world … try it! Very reasonable too! Pl try the desserts 🍨 sooooo delicious 😋 live instrumental 🎼 music and beautiful street for alfresco dinning too!
