SCAM and TOURIST TRAP!
Be very careful if you end up in this restaurant, and make sure that 3x check all, take photos of the menu and write down what you eat.
My girlfriend and I came here specifically because of the good reviews of the food and owner/staff in this restaurant.
We wanted some quick light meal and opted for a sea bass fish (which was 60-70 TL on the menu).
Then the owner came and said, I can recommend you one better fish and showed us some picture but NO PRICE was written. We agreed.
He asked us what we want to drink we said water only since we don't drink alcohol. But he pushed a glass of wine to my girlfriend and we said okay one glass of wine, after he came with a small bottle (0.375l) saying it's better to take this bottle you have for 3 glasses here.
We ordered one mix salad and french fries and that was it.
The old man seemed so polite so we never thought that this is nothing but well designed scam to take hard earned money from tourists.
We got our salad, fries and fish - it was grilled and about enough for 2 people if you are not very hungry.
Fish was good, wine sweet, salad good.
I thought okay a little better fish let it be double of the price that is on the menu for seabass (60-70 tl) so lets say 150 TL plus salad 40 TL plus small wine maybe 80-90 TL and fries 20 TL - maximum in my opinion the bill should be 300 TL.
BOY I WAS WRONG.
The bill came for a FREAKING 850 TL!!!
850 TL!!!
I was shocked, but I paid, walk my GF to hotel and and came back to the owner saying that it must have been some mistake with the bill.
He said NO NO, all is correct. HOW i asked? He said, the fish is 450TL!!! 450 TL for a fish in the street food restaurant??? 7x more than for similar fish on the menu?? I asked how it's possible??? -He said it's a fresh fish from the sea LOL!
WINE - 240TL!! 240 TL for the 0.375 bottle of regular white wine??? In the fast food street restaurant???
Salad, fries bread and 2 sauces was 160TL??? WOW!!
Just to clarify one more time - this is a street restaurant, in the middle of the busy road - NOT some 5* Michelin star restaurant with a view. It's a street restaurant. You are sitting literally on the street.
To put in the perspective, for 850 TL you can have 7 course meal in a fancy restaurant.
For 850 TL you can rent a studio apartment for one month in the heart of Antalya.
For 850 TL you can eat the whole week in the mid range restaurants.
So ask yourself before you go here - Do you want to spend one month of average rent that people pay on one fish salad and wine.
I strongly recommend you to go elsewhere where you are treated with respect, not scammed.
BTW if you search the photos you can see my neon green t-shirt so you can see how poor the 850TL dinner looks like.
And if the owner comment that the prices are in menu - NO they are NOT. Some of the items don't have price and you should be very careful not to end up like me. Lesson learned.
Oh and good luck with getting a real receipt. You will get hand written prices in a piece of...

We arrived after typical dinner hours, but the friendly staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, welcoming us in with open arms. Their hospitality truly sets the tone for a positive experience.
The star of the show here is, of course, the kokoreç. We opted for a portion, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. The meat was juicy, flavorful, and had a satisfying char from the grill. If you're unfamiliar with kokoreç, it's basically marinated lamb intestines threaded onto skewers and barbecued. It might sound adventurous, but it's a Turkish street food favorite for a reason!
But ŞAMPİYON KOKOREÇ KALEİÇİ offers more than just kokoreç. We also tried their chicken kebab, and it was equally delicious. The chicken was perfectly tender and flavorful, and the accompanying salad provided a refreshing contrast.
The prices here are incredibly reasonable, making it a great option for a budget-friendly meal. The portions are generous, so you definitely won't leave hungry.
Overall, ŞAMPİYON KOKOREÇ KALEİÇİ is a fantastic spot to experience authentic Turkish street food in a welcoming atmosphere. The delicious food, friendly staff, and fair prices make it a must-visit for any visitor to Antalya, especially if you're looking for a late-night bite. Don't be deterred by the late hours - they're happy to serve up deliciousness whenever you...
