Been going to the coffee shop at the Ritz on vacation and thought we would try another local spot. Wish we stuck with Ritual Coffee at the Ritz instead. At Beans and Leaves you won’t get a friendly greeting, you won’t get great quality coffee and you won’t get the local pride I thought you would from a small business. Ordered 2 cold brews with a splash of almond milk and some sugar free pumps. When I placed the order I was talked to rather coldly and told you can tell him to give you almond milk when you get your coffee. Ok, fine. I wait and watch the cold brews being made. A lot of syrup, then water poured into the cup to above the 2/3 fill line. Then some cold brew poured on top of this. I make cold brew at home, this ratio is way off. Then he hands me the coffees and I remind him that we want a splash of almond milk. He says nothing, grabs the coffees, turns around and dumps out a decent amount of coffee from each into the sink and hands me back the coffees and the bottle of almond milk to pour in myself. I was floored. I knew this wasn’t going to taste well based on the very light color of the coffee in my cup but we gave it a shot anyways. Well, I was right, it was glorified sugar water. Can’t go back here. In my opinion, these folks need to focus on smiling, being polite and welcoming as well as learn how to properly...
Read moreThe Cortado is only half bad, definitely better than the one from the other place a few houses down the road. I would recommend you get yours from here if you want anything else than just coloured milk for 7$. The pain comes from the setup and the slowness: every single couple spends about 5 min at the counter to order 2 drinks and a muffin. With this, the shop is filled to the door with people waiting in line in between the tables, which means that if you are sitting at a table they will be queuing around you, talking, shouting, chasing their kids around. With respect to the barista skills, it's the first time I see 2 jugs of milk frothing themselves on the espresso machine, while the barista prepares something else. Btw, below the local recipe for Iced Cappuccino: put ice in the cup, pour a double espresso, froth milk for two other drinks and dispense them to the waiting customers, give up and just pour some cold milk from the bottle, put a lid on it and shout "Iced...
Read moreI stumbled upon this charming coffee shop during my stay in Turks and Caicos, and it quickly became my go-to spot each morning. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and filled with island charm — the perfect place to start the day or take a midday break.
The coffee is exceptional — smooth, rich, and clearly made with care. Whether you’re into espresso, cold brew, or a perfectly frothed cappuccino, you’ll find something to love here. They also offer a great selection of pastries and light bites, all fresh and delicious.
What really sets this place apart is the staff. Friendly, genuine, and always happy to offer recommendations, they made me feel like a local from the moment I walked in. The service was consistently fast and thoughtful, even during busier times.
Whether you’re visiting or lucky enough to live here, this little gem is a must-visit. Great coffee, amazing people, and an unbeatable island vibe — it doesn’t get...
