As a professional reviewer who’s visited numerous bars and lounges across Abu Dhabi, I can confidently say that The GOAT, located on the 17th floor of Crystal Hotel, is one of the city’s best-kept secrets.

The moment you step in, you’re welcomed by a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere. Their carefully selected beer list offers something for every palate. Personally, I always go for two favorites—Magners Irish Cider and Stella Artois—perfectly paired with their delicious Beef Nachos, which are consistently top-notch.

Service here is exceptional. Ms. Grace, a fellow kababayan from my province, leads the team with warmth and professionalism. Her hospitality and attention to detail truly elevate the experience.

Another highlight is the live band—they add just the right energy without overpowering the space. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind, listen to great music, and enjoy quality food and drinks with a stunning view of the city.

This bar is your typical old school expat haunt, frequented by a selection of drunk expats and escorts to some extent. However, the way they run their business is essentially robbery. The manager booked our band to play there last month, which we did, on the promise of prompt payment for our services. Since then, the manager has been completely evasive. After ignoring numerous messages from me, eventually I was redirected to a different person, who promised payment on receipt of our invoice (we weren't told to invoice them originally). That was 10 days ago, and there has been zero reply to subsequent emails. Totally unprofessional, and essentially a bar / management team trying to extort as much out of people without bothering to pay for services...

The Goat is one of our favorite spots—we always go there and it never disappoints! The food is consistently amazing, packed with flavor, and always served fresh. They’ve also improved the bar recently, and it looks fantastic! It really adds to the overall vibe and experience.

One of the main reasons we keep coming back is Metro Band—we absolutely love them! Their energy, talent, and song selection are always on point. They know how to engage the crowd and create such a fun and lively atmosphere. Watching them perform is always a highlight of our night.
