I had the pleasure of dining at Siraj Restaurant, a Syrian Emirati gem located in the stunning Souk Al Bahar, and it truly lived up to its reputation. As a Michelin Guide-listed establishment, Siraj offers a remarkable culinary experience.
The moment you step into Siraj, you're welcomed by a warm and inviting ambiance. The restaurant boasts both indoor and outdoor seating options, allowing you to choose between a cozy and comfortable setting or dining al fresco. What sets Siraj apart is the breathtaking view it offers of the iconic Dubai Mall and the majestic Burj Khalifa.
Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at Siraj is a culinary journey through Syrian and Emirati flavors, offering a delightful fusion of both cuisines. The dishes are not only beautifully presented but also bursting with rich and authentic tastes. I had the pleasure of trying their traditional mezze, and each bite was a symphony of flavors, from the fragrant spices to the fresh ingredients.
One of the standout features of Siraj is their shisha, which adds an extra layer of relaxation and enjoyment to the dining experience. They offer a variety of flavors, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the company of friends or family.
The staff at Siraj Restaurant is attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall experience. They are knowledgeable about the menu and can help you make the best choices for your taste preferences.
In summary, Siraj Restaurant is a culinary haven in the heart of Dubai, blending the best of Syrian and Emirati cuisine. The Michelin Guide recognition is well-deserved, and the restaurant's stunning location with views of the Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa is a bonus. Whether you're a food enthusiast, a shisha lover, or simply looking for a beautiful place to dine, Siraj is...
Read moreThis was our first time ever coming here on 01/11/22. We were part of a tour group and our lunch was included. We were brought here to eat. The restaurant is very nice inside and we decided to eat outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. After, we were seated, we were brought out our drinks. At this point, we decided were on a set menu because of the tour. We were never told what our menu was or what to expect for our lunch dining experience. The gentleman who brought out the starters for us told us what they were. The food is delicious. I do not fault the food not one bit. However, I do find fault the customer service that we received. We watched as other tables around us that were checked on to see if, everything is alright. They were offered condiments, perrier water, etc and checked up on multiple times and we were bypassed/walked by literally every time. They had set up our placement for dessert. We asked the first time to the young lady what we were waiting on. All she stated is that "it's coming". We waited over 15 minutes. The gentleman finally brought it out and apologized for the wait. By this time, we were to meet up to go back for the tour. We asked for it to go. The saddest part of it all is that we had more interaction with the staff leaving than while we were there. All customers should be treated equally. You never know what may have come of the interaction with us. We could have upgraded our meals or added additional food items but, we were not given the opportunity since, no...
Read moreDuring our trip to Dubai during Ramadan, we had the opportunity to enjoy Iftar at Siraj, a Lebanese restaurant located near the Dubai Fountain. Iftar, the meal with which Muslims break their fast at sunset, was offered as a fixed menu priced at 175 AED per person, comparable to other restaurants in the area. The menu included a generous selection of vegetarian starters, three main courses (chicken, mutton, and seafood), and three desserts (fruit, kunafa, and a rice-and-milk-based dish).
The portions were substantial, designed for those fasting since sunrise. While we could only sample a bit of everything, I particularly enjoyed the vegetarian starters and desserts. The main courses were less impressive for me, but this might have been because I was already quite full from the starters.
A special mention goes to our waitress, Stella, who patiently explained each dish and guided us through the menu with great care. Her excellent service added to the overall experience.
In conclusion, Siraj is a highly recommended restaurant for its ambiance and service. However, for those not fasting or with smaller appetites during Ramadan, opting for an à la carte menu might be a...
