I've visited this lovely restaurant numerous times since it opened, yet I've never taken the time to share my thoughts until now. I feel it's high time to express my gratitude for wonderful experiences.
I was hesitant to return after the reopening, fearing it might not live up to my previous experiences. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the food tasted even better and high quality service. Although I missed out on my favorite Traditional Burmese Mom Hin Ghar this time, the Shwe Yin Aye brought back fond memories of my homeland. My Indonesian friend enjoyed the Lakssa and Nasi Goreng, and the accompanying sambal left us speechless with its incredible taste. The crispy Burmese fritters paired perfectly with the sauce. But just for a dynamite prawn, it didn’t reach my expectations due to less spicy and the batter was soggy. It might not my taste probably due to I have tried so many different prawns.
However Finishing with Burmese tea was completely satisfying.
What I love most about this restaurant is the delicious food, followed closely by the impeccable cleanliness that you can truly feel. Since their renovation, generous offer with a fun wheel discount on Thursdays, adding excitement to every visit and 30%off on every Tuesday is running.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving authentic Asian flavors. It's a must-visit spot in Dubai, and for fellow Burmese looking to introduce their friends to traditional cuisine, this is the perfect place...
Read moreI recently ordered Myanmar Mutton Curry from Asian Lotus Restaurant via Noon, and I was quite impressed with the experience. The delivery was timely, which I appreciated. It was my first time trying Myanmar Mutton Curry, and I have to say, it was absolutely delicious. The curry came with a serving of white sticky rice, and the combo worked really well together.
The curry costs 40 AED, and while the flavor was great, I found the quantity to be a bit on the smaller side. One box serves 2 people if you're eating well, but I would suggest that they consider increasing the portion size without changing the price. Another downside was the excessive amount of oil in the curry. I had to pour out a significant amount of oil before I could enjoy it, and I do worry that too much oil could lead to feeling unwell. That said, the flavor was fantastic, and the addition of chili flakes and pickles really elevated the dish. In the image below you would see the dish without oil since I have taken the photo after pouring off excess oil.
Overall, the food was tasty, and I'll definitely consider ordering from them again, just hoping for a bit less...
Read moreA nice restaurant if you’re in the mood to try Burmese cuisine. They do have delicious dishes from Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia too. The usher and waiters always greet you with a polite smile and are helpful in explaining the ingredients to each dish while you decide your choice. Tried the starters “Burmese Fritters” which is worth a try along with their tamarind sauce. The Burmese Laksa soup was flavorful and filling too. The Chicken Fried Noodles came with plenty of chicken, vegetables and portion sizes are more than enough fill one person. If you feel too full, the Burmese green tea (which is served in a large flask) should help in digestion and making you feel comfortable in your seat. If you’re a fan of Japanese Ramen, then you will definitely love the Chicken Clay Pot Mee Shay. Served in a clay pot (as the name would suggest), the broth is rich and a culinary masterpiece of flavors. If you want it to less spicy than what it’s served, you can ask them to turn down the spice 🌶️ or up if you have lead lined stomachs ! Worth a visit, when looking to try authentic Burmese cuisine that’s not too heavy on...
